Nah, dude sucks. There are plenty of "wildly successful" people that I both admire and whose work I deeply enjoy. Bottom line is the guy is a talentless assclown.

Okay.. I'll defend him.
He is a genius writer in the world of rap, he pokes fun at everyone, including himself. He doesn't take himself seriously, he's clever as all hell, and has fun doing what he does. Some of his videos are pretty entertaining as well.

Having said that, and being a long time fan of rap.. his new album has only 1 song on it I like, and it's not in current rotation on Sat radio.. maybe played once on his channel during a debut party last weekend.

Eminem's albums are always the same - bubblegum rap and attempts at being hardcore. He's still incredibly talented, but the patterns wears thin.

I haven't heard this album, but most reviews I have read say that it's not very good at all.

I still think "The Eminem Show" is his best effort. I didn't care for this new record very much. He uses his character voice almost the entire damn album.

The album is of at least the same quality as any other album on the top of the charts.

THIS. I'm not crazy about rap in general but I heard "The Eminem Show" and liked it enough to buy it. My husband inquired if I'd joined a gang.

I had meddling hopes for Relapse and it lived down to those expectations. The new CD is poor as a whole. The 2 radio tracks are horse manure. However, the final track "Underground" is phenomanal. When Relapse 2 drops in October I have higher hopes based on that 1 track. I think he released this first CD to see if people would buy an album where he threw his voice the entire time...

Eminem is the Marilyn Manson of rap. He got blamed for a whole bunch of shiat that he really had nothing to do with, but then became a complete cartoon character of himself because it was expected of him.

i cannot argue that he is a douche, but his music certainly does not suck.

Ok getting sick of the but..but ..but hes Talented! people. If he is he sure hides it well. Sure you see where there could be massive better the avg talent..But they are just glimmers. Every album has the same "ha look at me! Im making fun of topical things!" rap. Yeah I heard that song about 8 years go.. But innovative? Making classic records? Hardly. Another here today gone tomorrow record. A sad state of affairs in the hip-hop world.
