Coldplay : the effect of freezing water on male genitalia that is only clad in Speedos.

Coldplay blatantly ripped off an old Kraftwerk song as well. I can't remember the name of the Coldplay song But the Kraftwerk song is "Computer Love" on the album "Computer World."

they credited Kraftwerk in the liner notes

Okay really. He's taking it on the chin and being optimistic. Why can't some of you people lighten the fark up? It's not like they ripped off YOUR song, so let it go. In fact, the similarity between the two songs is barely enough to make a case for. Also, I like Coldplay. Suck it.

ragnarqk: Also, I like Coldplay. Suck it.

Way to completely discredit yourself.

/plagiarism deserves no respect

They actually had full permission to use that melody. Nice FAIL

Sigh... Not plagiarism... Just a lot of overlap because there are only so many freaking notes...

OH GOD SOMEONE THINK OF THE MUSICIANS!

Fail. They had full permission.
Not to defend them if they really are plagiarizing, but it really is entirely possible that they came up with a similar riff to Satriani's. It happens, a lot.

Thward 2009-05-26 04:51:29 AM
Yes they had permission. The point is that they are so lacking in ideas that they have to go ripping off other people's stuff wholesale, and in Satriani's case they probably decided not to bother getting permission.

Am I the only one who thinks they sort of sound like Radiohead?
