Helllllooooo Farkers....

I've said it before and I'll say it again....

"I'd stop the world and "Immelt" with you"

When you kiddies start to question what you are being told and seriously look into the facts of what is really happening to you, you will really be pissed off at how stupid the MSM really think you are!!!!

Some people think I'm bitter at the afford mentioned....

Well maybe so.... when I see good reporters being fired just because they won't spin, parse and distort the truth, I have a problem with that!

Sometimes you have to ask yourself "for 7 million dollars a year (KO's yearly salary)wouldn't you distort the truth?"

I'm going to pull a Nancy Pelosi with this post and let you know that I will not respond to any other post to me about this topic.

Considering O'Reilly's only source for this BS is the classic Fox "some people are saying" schtick, how hard is it to rip apart?

His most recent presidential campaign donation was McCain (pops). In early primary season he also donated to Clinton, Dodd, Romney and Gulliani. Not exactly an Obamabot by that standard.

What he said was "Phil Herup, please run into the thread and commit the fallacy of appeal to motive, demonstrating once again that you are incapable of a sound and valid argument."

I was going to point out the entire headline was an appeal to motive, but Phil has once again provided a much more lively and personal example to us all.

So a big thank you and a round of applause to Mr. Herup, who has undoubtedly helped so many first-year college students graduate their critical thinking courses with practical, relevant examples of unsound, invalid arguments that they may present to their professors.

MSNBC is just trying to make money off of being not Fox. It's where the market is.

This might be clever if it was not an omnidirectional attempt at an insult.

Keith Olbermann is one program on MSNBC. For Keith's show to equal MSNBC, it would have to have the sum total of in-house produced content on it. It does not. Also referring to it as DailyKOS is confusing; why bother to attempt to link three separate media pieces together?

Find my other post were I said....

When you kiddies start to question what you are being told and seriously look into the facts of what is really happening to you, you will really be pissed off at how stupid the MSM really think you are!!!!

Now, it might just be me and my public school education, but your Mavericky use of punctuation (extraneous exclamation points and periods in ellipses, a confused understanding of the functions of quotation marks and line breaks) makes me believe you might not be in the best position to wonder about the stupidity of others.

Some people think I'm bitter at the afford mentioned....

Afford what? Since when does what you mention come at a cost? Why are you bitter at how much it costs you to mention something on Fark? Is your electricity and internet bill exorbitantly high?

Well maybe so.... when I see good reporters being fired just because they won't spin, parse and distort the truth, I have a problem with that!

I can understand your anger at spinning or distorting the truth -- personally I'm more affronted when people out-and-out lie, myself -- but what's wrong with parsing the truth? Again this may be my lack of a Mavericky grasp of the English language, but I'm fairly certain (hi 5th-grade-English teacher Mrs. Trickey!) that whether or not you parse the truth, it will still remain the truth. That's just me, but the hot-heeled tone to your post tells me you're a man on a mission, and may have information we lack, like a renegade spy with a heart of gold in a JJ Abrams movie.

Sometimes you have to ask yourself "for 7 million dollars a year (KO's yearly salary)wouldn't you distort the truth?"

I find myself asking the more pertinent question, like "would I distort the truth for free?" Or "would I distort the truth for a billion dollars?" Or "what's the point of making an argument to motive, when you could construct a valid argument?"

I'm going to pull a Nancy Pelosi with this post and let you know that I will not respond to any other post to me about this topic.

I do consider Mr. Olbermann's motive. I also consider that if GE was smart enough to get ahead of this good on them. Fact is we are going to get stuck with some sort of government ran healthcare. I expect it will be awful, but I could be wrong. Someone is going to profit from this administrations plans, and GE has decided to be that company. Except that there is. So really, when you consider the true part of your statement vs. the false part of your statement, you realise that not only does this get rid of the real problem of AGW, but it actually creates rather than destroys business. That's nice.

Wow. Mine through this freepjob's turds, and eventually you might get lucky and find a diamond.

The rest of everything he's said is grade-A garbage, but the above is spot-on. The media don't just think the public are retards, they have proof that pandering to the lowest common denominator generates profit: the Fox News Channel. Hell, they don't even have to dial the rhetoric up to 11; leave it at about a 4 or a 5, and in this climate, you're considered neutral. Fact has been replaced with faction. Lead in, introduce paid partisans, interest A gets two minutes, interest B gets two minutes, non-committal wrap up, cut to commercial. This is what passes for coverage of a topic.

Look at what passes for news in this nation, and look at what Falls through the cracks.
