A friend told me a similar story involving Ringo Starr roughly 15 years ago. He also overheard Ringo say this to his waiter "and there better not be any caper on there or I'll send it back. I HATE CAPERS!"

Every time I see capers on a menu I hear a Ringo screaming "I HATE CAPERS" in my head.
