They have lady Scoutmasters?

Isn't that sort of defeating the point?

I don't know much about Girlscouts, but I assume there are Scoutmistresses, right?

Could a guy be a Scoutmistress?

Because that sounds like an interesting job.

Her head looks to be squishy. Maybe she tried to teach them the responsibility of drinking. In many places there are none of these laws about showing the passport to buy the beer or have to go to distributor for many beers. The distributor is far from me and hard to go on my bicycle. I wish I could buy it at grocery store.

Other side of this says that these are the laws in the United States of America and maybe because these are the laws the teenagers do not know the way to drink in the safest manner. Because of this maybe she should not have caused them to have the drinks. I do not want to be the judge of this but think that when you look at the two sides of this it says very much about the culture of the United States of America and the view of alcohol and not a break of morality for the scoutladymaster.

Hmmm... I haven't been in the Boy Scouts for a decade. Last time I was in though, you could have a woman as an Assistant Scoutmaster but not as a Scoutmaster.

In the Scouts, distributor of many beers comes to you!

My wife is a venture crew leader so I am getting a kick out of this story. Also, she is significantly more attractive then the hose-beast pictured in the article.

The thing about venture crews is that since they are co-ed, you are supposed to have a male and female leader. Sounnds like this woman was doing it on her own.

she was probably trying to get the kids drunk so she could get some hot 15-year-old action.

Venture scouting, or Venturing, is the older version of Scouts. It's co-ed.

They let girls into Boy Scouts now too. But only girls into Girl Scouts. I'm guessing the Scouts do all the cool camping stuff and survivalism, the Girl Scouts sell cookies and learn how to use mind control on boys.

Beer pong" is a drinking game where cups of beer are lined up on a table. One of those in the game bounces a ping-pong ball; the person closest to the cup it goes into drinks the beer.

/drool

If you bounce it, I can block it, dumbass.

Since when does the person closest to the cup drink it? You just alternate with your partner. Also, it's called Beirut.

Silly people. They got the pledge wrong. Scouts are supposed to pledge duty to God and the Queen. Thats how Lord baden Powell wanted it. That and he liked to bugger little boys, but thats besides the point.

We play that one bounce is permitted without being blocked, but only if that bounce is on the table. You can bounce if off of anything else, and it counts if it goes in, but it may be swatted, too.
Also, we play "biatches blow." Meaning that if it goes in to the cup but is spinning around the inside of the cup and has not yet hit the surface of the beer, you can blow into the cup to get the ball to pop back out, but if you're male you will be emphatically derided for this tactic.

Guessing subby maybe only made it to Tenderfoot (required to memorize Scout Law), as any higher rank would realize the diff between Venture Scouts and BSA.

What a sad situation. I got my eagle scout 50 years ago, and the idea of a woman scoutmaster sounds a little too dainty for me. Disgusting, what the hell happened? Is scouting a victim of the pussification of America?

reimanr06 2009-05-10 12:42:37 PM
This is retarded. The woman bought 2 12 packs of beer. Thats about 6 games of beer pong. No one is even getting injured for playing six games. What are the 14 year olds going to do? Barf on the street?

Boy Scouts was where I learned to drink beer.

Our Scoutmaster, yes a guy back then in the early Sixties, would park a couple of six packs in a stream to cool when we were out camping. We senior Scouts would make sure the younger kids were in bed, then we'd adjourn to the stream and drink with the Scoutmaster.

Good times.

Don't think she's a dainty lady, dude. Probably the type to arm wrestle in bars for the prize of sleeping with one of the waitresses and 5 pounds of gator meat.

There was a lawsuit about equal right. The Boy Scouts could not have the money to keep in in court or to deal with it, so they had to cave in.

phansen 2009-05-10 01:41:18 PM
When I was in Scouts we had a lady scoutmaster and assistant scout master. They were biatches, nobody farked with them. We did sneak a bottle once on a camping trip, but we provided it ourselves. Thats what I learned in scouts. Providing for yourself

No doubt. Scout camp used to be a place for boys to to go hike, climb rocks, chop wood, build bridges, swim in lakes and shoot guns. There's no place in the culture for that today.

mpruett 2009-05-10 01:46:25 PM
It's Venture scouts folks... what used to be called Explorers, I think. It's basically co-ed Scouts with an emphasis on the more cool stuff like backpacking, canoeing, etc... and less on knot-tying and fire starting type stuff.

I'd have actually gone into Venture scouts, if I'd known I'd have got to camp, drink beer and hang out with chicks (while drinking beer; the venture scouts girls are pretty much guaranteed to be heinous, I suspect)
