I'm not entirely sure. If you are in the process of using the camera while committing a crime...maybe? If it's sitting in your car and you're walking around downtown peeing on things, I think they'd need a search warrant.

umm yes, because you would have been drunk and peeing on a car... good logic there.

Of course when you want to cause problems, why not go all out and head to the nearest police department parking lot to cause your mayhem.

In some N. California counties urinating in public will not only get you arrested for indecent exposure (doesn't matter if anyone else is present) but potentially put you on the sex registry list (this doesn't apply to the Mexican day laborers outside Home Depot).

Dammit, I thought the public urinators took the pictures. That would really be scorched earth!

Remember those things were only for use as an alternative to deadly force? I do. (But just barely. It's been AGES.)

So either those cops would normally kill anyone who is uncooperative, or they are misusing their equipment.

My buddy did this outside a police station in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Only difference was he urinated in the cop car on the drivers seat. No joke. Thank God there were no cameras outside this shanty of a station . Who knows what would've happened down there.

I'm gonna guess they were arrested because the cops either saw them doing something stupid, or for public intoxication. Since they were arrested, they were searched incidental to arrest, which makes it legal.
