Leave him alone. Maybe he's got another dragon to fight or is someone's Best Man today.

/Hope he gets back soon. I need to look at a couple of books and I'm not sure if they'd get along.

Sad. The orangutan must've been bored out of his mind to use his time for an escape plan.

Short circuiting the wires? When did Vetinari last inspect the Academy? And using vegitation as a ladder... Hmm... Did anyone call the guards and ask when they had last seen Captain Carrot?

Little Wee Men (fave so far)
Guards! Guards!
Men at Arms

Waiting for my local book store to get Feet of Clay and A Hat Full of Sky.

Not sure about The Colour of Magic and the rest of that series. Anybody read it? Is it good?

/only books that have given me teh lols. Of the out loud variety.
//Not even DNA's HHGTTG.

Samalander 2009-05-10 01:06:47 PM
Fave Pterry books:

Going Postal
Guards! Guards!
Feet of Clay
The Fifth Elephant
Night Watch
The Truth
n' Good Omens, natch. He wrote most of it... the boring parts were Gaiman's.

pregerstheHobo 2009-05-10 01:29:11 PM
faves so far:

Reaper Man
Thief of Time
Going Postal
Night Watch
Mort
The Truth

great thing about my local store, they carry pretty much the entire series at any given time. every once in a while i grab one from the shelf, but only if i earned it.

earned one last week. Tattered Cover ftw!

felidstar 2009-05-10 01:34:09 PM
I like how she "decided she was somewhere she shouldn't be" at the end of the escape and went back to her enclosure. That sounds very much like a "Dammit! They told me there was a banana plantation over this fence. LIES!!" Or rather, "OOOKKKK!"

More good Pratchett Books:
Thud!
Monstrous Regiment
Small Gods
Last Continent
Mort
Reaper Man
Soul Music
Hogfather
Thief of Time
Maskerade

Color of Magic is a D&D parody.. it's not as polished as the rest, but it's worth watching :D

SF_iris [TotalFark] 2009-05-10 01:37:27 PM
Don't forget Jingo and Monstrous Regiment.

/Hopes to be reincarnated as a male Nac Mac Feegle.

I concur.

Works for a library, kick etc.

Cornwell [TotalFark] 2009-05-10 01:44:51 PM
There are hardly any bad Pratchett books, only books that doesn't fit particular readers. Some people detest the witches, others find Rincewind unfunny. There are some strange people out there.

Favourites from Discworld:

Jingo
Guards Guards
Hogfather
Reaper Man
Faust Eric

Apart from that, Good Omens is brilliant, and so is Nation.
