i think they had big shoes to fill. Was this another "Dick in a Box", or "Jizz in My Pants"? Maybe not. At the same time, i'm going to call my mother in 12 hours or so and wish her a happy Mother's Day. Sadly, i won't be able to suppress my memory of this track.

My favorite part is how high the production quality of these songs are now. Especially with attaching Timberlake to these songs, the chorus of these songs is something you'd hear from mainstream pop songs. To me that makes it even funnier.

the song itself was only so-so funny, but the 2-part intro into the song made me chuckle:
A) the scene with Timberlake playing his own great-great-grandfather coming to Ellis Island, and telling the other immigrants his dream for his great-great-grandson to become a singer, and then meeting "Rabbi Samberg" at the end, and both hoping their descendants would sing together;
B) the actual video started with the wrapped boxes with holes in them being thrown away.

all together, the "Ellis Island" sketch flowing into the music video was the funniest thing on SNL that I have seen in years.

But that is not saying very much.

NBC needs to offer Timberlake a zillion dollars to be a full-time cast member. He hits a home run every single time he pops up on there, and when he hosts the entire show, it's GREAT. And I don't even like his music.

I love it when Timberlake hosts SNL. He goes balls out and doesn't look like he's reading lines off a cue card. Farking hilarious every time he's on. I'm pissed I missed it!

Anyone who was around when Joe Piscopo started weight lifting would not complain about how much SNL sucks now. Anyway, Mother Lover made me laugh more than DiaB. I like how the whole SNL last night was aimed at cougars.

How is it that Justin Timberlake, part-time cast member, full-time singer/dancer is better than the rest of the cast? It either says a lot about how talented Timberlake is or a lot about how mediocre the cast is. Actually, I think it's a bit of both.

Yep. Last night was the first time I had turned on SNL in at least 2 years and Justin Timberlake just happened to be on. The last thing I saw on SNL was the Dick In a Box short.

When will SNL be funny again? There is no shortage of funny people in the world, why can't SNL corner a couple of them??
