An infinite number of monkeys are not amused, since they can crank out a Dan Brown novel every month.

Shirley Ujest: No vitirol for Stephanie Meyer?

I just wanted to say I've read Da Vinci Code and several Cussler novels. NOTHING is as bad as those four books of vamp-crap.

Several Cussler novels?? One was enough for me.

That'd hurt like hell!

That must have been a lucky dog, to end up with characterization and plot identical to all of Brown's earlier work.

That's true. I think there was a story on here about a little kid who ate magnets, and while they were in his intestine, they started attracting/repelling each other, and the kid's gut got all twisted up and he almost died. They had to operate and take them all out.

The DaVinci Code is better written than Twilight.

The DaVinci Code is better written than Twilight.

FanFiction is frequently written better than Twilight.

Why is this news? I've got books full of cases involving dogs eating odd things, some of them accompanied by lovely illustrations of radiographs or photographs taken during surgery. No textbook on veterinary surgery, radiology or emergency medicine is complete without at least one "why did he eat that" case with pictures.

That headline made me giggle. Or perhaps it was the beer. A bit hard to tell...

Emily912: If a monkey had eaten them, would he have pooped Hamlet?

Infinite monkeys, infinite magnets, that would produce Hamlet.

Like, 18 monkeys, 12 magnets, that's all you need for a Dan Brown novel.

The adventures of Sparkles the Vamp and Angsty the Drama Queen even made the final Harry Potter book look good (including the 300 pages of aimless wandering in the woods).

/liked the Cussler novels I read
//last read one about 15 years ago, though
///I'm willing to bet a puppy's alpha-shiats are better reading than a Dan Brown book, which is still better than Twilight

Wait, isn't Twilight written as fanfiction?.

I mean, at least the ammount of that book that I was able to read without gacking it felt like it was fanfic (new window).

"The letters were well chewed and not easy to identify and as well as finding around 30 pieces of chewed plastic, he had eaten some white rubbery cloth," Newcombe said.

Shroud of Turin?

Nothing can be worse than "Urban Fiction." I once sat on a subway and watched this obese woman's lips moving so much that I could follow the story: "Big G was arrested but he knew the charges wouldn't stick because the Po-Po had nothing on him. Deshawn had predicted what they were going to do and Big G sat in his cell smiling at how he outsmarted the pigs once again."

Everyone laugh but that hack is going to make a shiatload of money off of the "Angels and Demons" movie.

Angels and Demons is actually a GOOD book. Stupid. But still a good book.

The Da Vinci Code is actually an OK book that was hyped way too goddamn much. Not great by any means, but certainly not horrible compared to say... Dean Koontz's latest dog love novel. Just simply... ok.

He is a mediocre writer, but certainly not the worst ever.

Either plastic and metal tastes good, or that dog is dumber than Paris Hilton.

Jackie Collins has to be thrilled she's no longer the lousiest best-selling author out there.

It's not news to us, but it is to people who don't see it every day. So why complain? It's still interesting to hear other vets stories of the oddest things they've seen.
