This forging ability was in question after He's So FineMy Sweet Lord?

Fits right in with everything I've heard about his personality. He would be the type of guy to CARE enough about a stranger to do it.

Class act, even in death.

RIP, George.

Admit it, "He's So Fine" really needed a Hare Krishna chorus.

I always wished George had gotten more song space on earlier Beatles albums (and Ringo less!)

You're right. I mean, forging signatures, forging money, forging IDs, forging priceless antiquities...besides the illegality, doesn't that all sound pretty damn fun?

I disagree - when anyone played the Sgt. Pepper album growing up, they ALWAYS skipped over "Within You Without You." It was like a reflex action to drop the needle on the 2nd track when playing Side B.

Well, I did say earlier albums. For me that goes up to Revolver. Full hippy dippy mode did bad things for a lot of bands.

Um, yeah, "Something" isn't the greatest farking love song of all time, is it, Ace?

Yes, it is.

"I Will" takes "Something" out behind the school and beats it up for its lunch money, Sport.

Since it's a George Harrison thread, I might as well post It's All Too Much.

I assume, of course, that you are referring to the Law & Order (CI?) episode where Colbert plays a forger. If I got the incarnation of Law & Order wrong, I apologize.

Oh, and that's an awesome story about George Harrison.

While his body of work is impressive, "I've Got My Mind Set On You" basically went back in time and erased any and all accomplishments George Harrison had.

Things just get more hit or miss during the hippy period. "Something" is great song. The misses are far more the property of McCartney; if he didn't actually die in 1966, he certainly had some kind of brain damage. I farking hate "The Long and Winding Road" with a passion. It's like he started turning into a Broadway composer or something.

Not in my neighborhood they didn't. Great song.

/and "I've Got My Mind Set On You" was a cover, written by Rudy Clark and originally recorded by James Ray in 1962.

One again, the Sun's a day late and a dollar (pound?) short.

All four Beatles could do all for signatures. This was probably a result of the huge rafts of stuff Epstein made them sign early on in Beatlemania (art students + boredom = ingenuity). The real experts on Beatles autographs can tell the difference between items that are actually signed by all four Beatles and those signed by just one.

What makes George awesome is that he signed all four signatures to post-1980 Bealtes albums, which obviously rendered them valueless.

Yea, I heard the same thing around Lancashire. Please
