Modern civilization makes us all hunter-gatherers. Fast food takes us back to our hunter-gatherer roots. A car full of people going through the burger king drive-thru is essentially the same as group of ancient hunters tracking and killing a mammoth.

Evolutionary changes took much longer, and a wide variety of humanoids occurred over a few million years... including hobbit humanoids that became extinct on some island in the south pacific area. (which is a fact)

But really I'd say (I Not an expert, but have a theory.) climate, disease, inbreeding and introduction of humans from other nomadic tribes between thousands of years has brought us all to where we are today. But just because the san people are the oldest descendant does not make them the root of us all. It just means they stayed put, and kept to themselves. Basically keeping them isolated reduced changes in the DNA makeup, and left them with no additional needs to change in evolution due to static climate etc... basically stabilized. Where as nomadic tribes adjusted in DNA/Evolution changes, etc.. until they too stayed put.

Life is enigmatic, and should always stay that way. It's what makes us all unique. If we were all clones... we'll 90%+ of us would just die of disease or be suicidal or genocide crazed...

But if you want to believe people from over 100 million light years had something to do with it. That's ok too.
