Anyone knows how good the Damned are live these days?

Quite clearly, the same question needs no asking in Motorhead's case

that would be an awesome show. I wish motorhead toured the US more. saw them for the first and only time in 2005 and it was awesome.

The Damned opened for Rob Zombie a while ago in the States. Just sayin'.

Possibly so, but isn't it pretty pathetic that borderline senior citizens can (and routinely do) rock the hair gel out of 95% of bands half their age?

Age doesn't matter much to Lemmy, seeing as how he's God and all. So he can play for another 400 years if he wanted. Probably will, too. And will tour without whoever he damn well wants.

I saw 'em in '98 on the second stage at Ozzfest. Why they got relegated to the second stage I have no idea, but it allowed me to get close enough to see the hairs growing out of Lemmy's moles. It also made me partially deaf for two days, even though it was an outdoor venue.

/amazing show
//also saw the Melvins on the same stage later in the day
///they were also awesome

Without the Captain or Rat, they're just The Darned.

Captain and Dave are both still in The Damned. Drums are handled by Pinch now and he's been with them since around 2000. This 'Damned' lineup is the most stable of all of them (2000-2009) and are quite good live. I'm looking forward to their May 12 show in DC...

LewDux: Motorhead sucks

When did Motörhead pick up a classical pianist?

Captain is still there and their latest album is actually pretty good. So was Grave Disorder.

The Damned are my all time favorite band and the still put on a hell of a live show. The only band I've heard better live are the Buzzcocks.

I really wish this tour was coming to the States :(

knoxvelour: I really wish this tour was coming to the States :(

Hell I wish 1 of the 2 bands would make the trip. Man I would get so messed up on the night of the show and feel alright. The next morning on the other hand I would feel the pain.

I just saw Motorhead in Baltimore last year. They have not lost one ounce of greatness! They had same fairly good opening acts with them. I was pretty impressed with a band called "Yearlong Disaster" which also came on really strong.

I saw them in Philly last year too, great show. Yearlong Disaster was great, the lead singer is the spawn of Dave Davies of The Kinks. Valient Thorr also opened up for them, insane band, looked like a bunch of hillbillies setting up on stage but damn they could play fast.

Motorhead, well do I need to even say anything? Lemmy is Gad after all.
