They outsource a lot of the polish work to local companies... THE HORROR! Yet the main fabrication (design cutting etc is done in house) and occasionally chromed/painted parts don't fit like the mock ups do so they have to 'coax' them in. Big Deal.

And the bike is a relatively low cost way to get exposure time for the state. Often those bikes are auctioned off for charity anyways by the client, in this case Alaska.

My big run-in with them was on the Adirondack Northway. I was headed north on my commute home, and I happened to come upon a Hummer H2 with a fat shirtless guy on a regular Harley right in front of it.

The shirtless wonder was Paul Sr., no doubt heading up to the Americade in Lake George. I couldn't really tell, because I was already past it when I figured out who they were, but I think one of his sons was driving the Hummer.

That Paul Sr. wasn't riding one of his own bikes up to the Americade, perhaps the largest motorcycle rally on the East Coast, and certainly the largest in the NorthEast, even for just the last few miles, says a lot about the quality of their bikes.
