President Barack Obama took advantage of the summer conditions in Washington on Sunday to play a round of golf for the first time since taking office.

Bad troll!

A Republican leader would work 24/7 until all the world's problems were solved.

What we need is a Real American in the White House. John McCain wouldn't be playing golf on a Sunday.

Asinine? Really? Everyone needs at least part of one day to take some of your waking hours away from work. Burnt out people/presidents don't make good, clear decisions.

Call me when he takes a month off to head to some ranch out in BFE.

FTFA: Its three 18-hole courses are a part of the base's recreation program for military personnel and Defense Department employees.

WTF! The AFB I was stationed at only had one! I am outraged!

Yeah, well Bush got elected, then immediately went on vacation until September 11th happened. At least Obama has done some real work in his first few months in office.

Subby seems to be under the misguided impression that Obama is some sort of super-hero and does everything by himself, singlehandedly.

Maybe someday subby'll make it into junior highschool and realize that there are all sorts of directors and officers in place that actually implement the policies that Obama decides upon and more often than not, recommend those very policies to him.

Then after that, maybe subby'll be ready to acknowledge the fact that golf is a very business orientated game and in the real world, real business gets done over golf, just as much if not more than the very real business that gets done over dinner and cocktails or at the titty bar.

ragekage [TotalFark] 2009-04-26 01:14:08 PM
I find it highly amusing these trollmitters think they're actually helping the image of the Republican party by making accusations like this. Hell, I'm pretty convinced there's a troll from DemocraticUnderground submitting these things, since all it does is exemplify the meme that GOP = Reactionary and unthinking, and the only thing they're concerned about is revenge- hence, we've already had Obama's Katrina, Obama's "Watch this drive", Obama's etc, etc, etc.

Actually- now that I think about it- carry on, trollmitter, God Bless, and good luck on accomplishing that goal.

alonzinator [TotalFark] 2009-04-26 01:15:53 PM
I think the "watch this drive" issue was more the cavalier attitude W had. He was referring to a suicide bomber attack in Israel.

"There are a few killers who want to stop the peace process that we have started, and we must not let them," he said. "I call upon all nations to do everything they can to stop these terrorist killers."

His business out of the way, Bush barely paused for breath before saying, "Thank you. Now watch this drive." (^)

Strategic golf. If the President is golfing, obviously the world is not about to end. Nothing to see here, kids. Everybody Unpanic.

Of course, this strategy only workd with our current President. With the last one, it had the opposite effect.

PS He has his Crackberry with him, so it's all good.

I heard Obama slept more than 4 hours last night. Obviously, he does not care about the state of this nation.

That Kenyan traitor is just letting the country fall apart while he sleeps comfortably in his bed.

/right wingers still haven't figured out why 98% of the world thinks W is an asshat
//it wasn't the fact that he went golfing occasionally

Yea for false equivalency!

ragekage: Actually- now that I think about it- carry on, trollmitter, God Bless, and good luck on accomplishing that goal.

I actually don't think so, I think there are a few Repubs on here who actually believe the stuff they say. They really believe that Obama golfing once equals Bush's "Now watch this drive" line.

Sadly, I know some do- but having spent most of my life considering myself a committed Republican, I have a hard time coming to grips with that level of intellectual dishonesty.

Your party is summed up by Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Pat Roberson, with a sprinkling of stupid on top of those 3. When you see the Republican party like that, you realize that the depth of stupid is endless. Start trying to get a new party going, yours is owned by morons and repressives. Sorry.

Hmm, Prez decided to hit the links.. ohnooz swine flu, and golf?! Bad prez?

Not mentioned in headline: The President had met with the CDC and WHO reps in the EARLY AM, and at 13:00EST, a plan had been made to control the outbreaks, disperse tamiflu anti-virals to outbreak zones, funds were allocated for the project, and contigency plans were put in place. The public was alerted via press conference shortly therafter..
/I say have some fun, and sorry you afre picking up such a big mess that this is the first time you've had a chance to golf since taking office..

Because I work at Walmart and I get two days off every week, as do a lot of people.

Awww.

We'll put away our but but Bushes if you put away but but Clintons. Just give us the equal number of years of drive you got out of it to make it good. Hmm, so that's uh, 9 years so far was it? We're slated to have Bush until, oh, 2018 than.

If we did an exchange rate for the magnitude of the events we're outraged about it give us a longer time to be frustrated for: blow job versus a terrorist attack on US soil, two wars and a global recession. But I'll be nice and cut an even-stephen deal.

Where do I sign?

Explain to me, explicitly, how this is happening here. Obviously, I'm not up to your level of intellect, so maybe you can explain how this isn't a case of false equivilence, but one of deflection.

I wouldn't mind if he took the next 1365 days of his term off to play golf. The economy will fix itself, while any and everything he proposes is just gonna send it back into the crapper. shiat, let's get Congress onto the links, too. Give the 5,000,000 unemployed a chance to find another job before there aren't any employers left.

Hahahahahahah! Is that right? The economy will fix itself? How do you suppose it'll do that? I suppose with more deregulation? Let's face it: If we have a free market that is completely free, eventually we all get shiat on.
