For sheer entertainment value, I say go for it, kid.

Well, FTFA, there's no visitation order in place, and from what he says the family isn't giving him much contact with the kid, so if that's the case this is precisely what he should be doing.

Levi and the little woman are the same age and should have the same level of maturity. Can't she understand that he simply wants to take along Tripp off a short peer?

Seriously.

Of course, the judge is probably a Palin Pick, so he's got about a snowball's chance in hell of getting out of there unscathed.

He won't even make it to court. His mysterious and fatal snowmobiling accident will take care of that.

You know, this is slowly refuting almost every talking point that conservatives have about the family and family planning.

First it was the fact that despite Sarah Palin's promotion of abstinence only education and bringing Bristol conservative Christian faith, she ended up getting pregnant.

Now, despite the fact that one of the big arguments against gay marriage that the Republican Right promotes is that "every child should have a mother and a father" the Palins aren't allowing Johnston much contact with the kid.

This is ridiculous. Don't they see the massive irony involved in what they're doing?

ExJerseyGirl [TotalFark] 2009-04-23 09:43:20 AM
He really should get a formal agreement in place as quickly as possible. If he is smart he'll figure out how to do that without going to court, which means he is going to court.

That's what really makes this so tragic. They don't even see their own hypocrisy. In their twisted mind, all this is for the sake of the children and is what is best for family values and America as a whole.

/won't someone please think of the children.
//and America too!

The Republicans are rationalizing greed and unrestrained self-interest. I don't think there is much room for consistency in their world view.

Strangely enough, a platform of unmitigated greed gets votes.

God, I feel bad for these kids. Seriously, did she NOT think about how her decision to thrust her family into the spotlight would effect them????

I was convinced the whole reason he got that oil job on the North Slope despite being totally unqualified was so he could have a "terrible accident" and Sarah could hold a press conference.

"My Grandson will never know his father, but we'll always keep the bucket his remains were brought back in as a memento, you betcha"

I'd LOL harder if it weren't so damned plausible.

For an "America" that doesn't include anyone they disagree with.

what_now: God, I feel bad for these kids. Seriously, did she NOT think about how her decision to thrust her family into the spotlight would effect them????

No. She thought it was God's will. That was all she needed to know and so she ran with it. After all, God was going to make everything work out perfectly.

/That's not a dig at Christians as a whole, that's a dig at the unrealistic expectations that Sarah Palin bases on her prosperity gospel-like faith.

If there never was a reason to question the political system of this country (and there most certainly was), that changed when Palin was held up as a VP candidate. Only Dan Quayle stands as more of an insult to the American voter than this redneck pandering gold digger.

Dan Quayle was an Army Sargent, a lawyer, a congressman and a senator.

Now, I'm not saying you need to be a wise, smart, good or decent person to be any of those things, but his resume is at least better than Palin's.

Not even in the same ballpark. Quayle could at least play minor leagues. Palin could only play T-Ball

No, I'm sure they see it, they just don't care. It's typical Republican politician morals. Do as I say, not as I do.

Who's this "she" you speak of? The one on the VP ticket, or the one with the huge rack? Your use of the word "thrust" threw me off.
