I don't even remember his name. Didn't he have a website or something where he was trying to sell t-shirts?

You should be able to google it for more. Some yuppie douchebag in Atlanta had an online slapfight on match.com with a girl who apparently snubbed him and didn't appreciate him as much as he appreciated himself.

Thanks for the link! There are two things in his reply to the incompatibility e-mail that I think are even better than the gym thing:

1) He tells her he's an 8.9 on Hot or Not. It doesn't matter whether he is or isn't, just the fact that he said it says mountains about his ego.

2) He still signs his e-mail "Regards." With all the rudeness that proceeded, why even bother with a polite sign-off? That business school training kicking in.

Let me put my surprised face on. Wait. wait. there we go.

It's a shiatty situation, North Korea. The best outcome would be to surround the place so nobody can go in or out, then snipe Kim Jong in the damned head. Wait out the ensuing panic, and almost ANYONE who takes over will be more reasonable to work with.

FTFA: "The talks broke off after the North Korean delegation refused to discuss the release of a detained South Korean worker, saying he was not on the agenda, according to South Korean officials."

Ain't that just the way of the bureaucrat? "Sorry, we need the agenda form, signed, notarized, and routed in triplicate for review before we can discuss this matter. NEXT!"

Unfortunately he has thousands of artillery pieces pointed at Seoul, and a very big and fanatical army. I'd love to see this douchebag die, but it would involve phenomenal amounts of damage to the Korean peninsula.

Frankly, China need to start leaning on this guy, but they're quite happy to milk the situation.

Best quote in the whole thing:

"If this could happen to an Ivy League grad and someone who has an IQ like mine, this could happen to anyone."

I don't know that they would shell Seoul over it, but it wouldn't change much, the Army runs NK, Kims or no Kims. China is only about half a partner in anything we might want to do, because its in their interest to just support the status quo, as pretty much anything else is going to result in assloads of north koreans flooding over their border.

Its a pretty inflexible situation really, the only credible threat the north has is their artillery trained on Seoul and the second it starts firing pretty much the lot of them are likely to DIAF. At the same time they could cause a hell of alot of damage in those first few hours.

Funk Brothers 2009-04-22 02:07:47 PM
If North Korea and China have nuclear weapons and refuse to give them up, we should let Japan and South Korea take a peak at our nuclear secrets at Los Alamos.

Of course there will be an economic trade off in the deal.

ManicParroT: Frankly, China need to start leaning on this guy, but they're quite happy to milk the situation.

I don't think China would be too keen on having a second Korean War break out. They'd eventually get involved somehow, if only to stop the refugees that would be fleeing North Korea. They'd probably do something beforehand to prevent it.

But they do need to put more pressure on North Korea, as China seems to be the only country that crazy little madman listens to.

I don't get why South Korea would want to locate businesses in North Korea as the North is not to be trusted on anything. I guess once again greed trumps good sense.
