No, it's because they started using "Home Sweet Home" on the show and he saw that the $ize of the royalty check$ coming in were bigger than his ego and Tommy Lee's wang put together.

I've had a beer with Vince Neil before. I saw him at the Palms casino in Vegas. He was sitting alone at the bar near the sportsbook. I had just placed a bet and I spotted him and there was an empty seat next to him, so I sat down, ordered a drink, and struck up some conversation. He's a cool dude.

I'd be a pretty cool dude too, if I were a washed up "singer" getting his arse kissed while drinking free beers purchased by some loser that was trying to make conversation with me.

You're favorite band / tv show/ movie / car / political party / sport / sexual position / mom / lolcat / planet / element / religion / name sucks.

But I would actually watch a Motley Crue Episode of American Idol. As long as they don't turn all of the songs into whiny heartfelt ballads or hip hop tunes.

And Vince Neil gets to kill the worst rendition of one of their songs live on stage.

a) Always find an exception to the suckatude
b) Can't explain the success/talent of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, or Chris Daughtry

5 (with clay aiken) people out of literally tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people.. yeah, those 5 are exceptions to the rules.

the other 99,995 contestants sucked horribly.

You couldn't possibly be serious. Those 5 are not exceptions. As finalists of the contest in question, they are the rule. Jeez.

Uh.. I dont think you know what "exception to the rule" means.

The whole point of the show is to find talent. If 100,000 people apply, and all but 5 are rejected, then the show is successful in finding talent.

But that doesnt make the 5 "the rule" and the 99,995 "the exception".

"The Rule" is the majority, the "exception" is the minority. Therefore, the 5 are the exceptions to the rule.

"The Rule" in this case would be the majority of contest winners and/or finalists. Since it is a contest that is trying to find "talent," you can't expect everyone who shows up to an open audition to be as talented as the winner. I don't really feel the need to defend American Idol, but I do find it annoying when people think they're too cool to watch it.

I was trying to figure out what song you were talking about. I thought perhaps you were thinking of "Yesterday" by Guns N Roses. Turns out Carrie Underwood has sung November Rain, Patience, and Sweet Child of Mine.

The Skid Row song she sings is "I Remember You."

She seems to like her 80s hair metal.

I bet Vince Neil wants a lot of things he doesn't get. In fact, I bet he issues a number of concerns, questions and statements daily out loud that the cold unfeeling universe never sees fit to answer him over.

I'd watch an AI where Tommy Lee showed up, and the contestants that win for that week are the ones that manage to escape without catching Hep from him.

That would be almost worth watching.

you conspicuously left off Fantasia and Ruben. And whoever won last season or two. Though of those listed, kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are the only kind with any lasting success. (Jennifer Hudson is too soon to tell. Winning an Oscar young is a kiss of death, though) Though I'm not really all that impressed with Carrie's success as maintaining a successful following in country music is pretty damn easy.

Ruben Studdard:

Album 1: U.S. sales: 1.8 million
Album 2: U.S. sales: 483,000
Album 3: U.S. sales: 238,000

Fantasia:

Album 1: U.S sales: 1.8 million
Album 2: U.S sales: 518,000

Had her house forclosed on in December

To compare: William Hung's debut album sales: 990,000

I'm not sure barely doubling William hung's sales is real successful

I wouldn't really call him a washed up singer, seeing as how the last few Crue tours sold out fairly quickly. I would've loved to have gone to the circus themed one they did. Looked like a helluva show.

He was at the show tonight though. I saw it. Yup. I watched the show. Some good talent on there this year. Disco sucks though.

Thought I agree with the sentiment I look at it this way. Singing (on key) is a talent. Of all the reality shows, most of the ones on American Idol late in the competition do have talent. I don't necessarily like their music, but I can appreciate the fact that they can do something I can not. Clay Aiken may have waned popularity wise, but the kid could sing.
