From what I remember from watching The Dollhouse on HBO, about one of the brothels, they have to pay for some of those kinds of things themselves (from the 'house' itself, I think), and it comes out of their income. I would guess that kind of stuff qualifies?

If they file a proper 5280 on their Schedule A, I don't see how there would be any problem considering them legitimate business expenses. Especially if they are kept at and used in the place of business only.
