Sure, let's forget the 8 years leading up this. That has nothing to do with what is going on now. The state of the U.S., nay, the world, has been brought down in 77 days by one man. Thaks for opening my eyes. Not.

Seriously, there's less pissing and moaning in a sorority house during Shark Week.

a portion of them have evolved into just that, but it's better than basing your entire platform on it, I guess.

I'm not saying this is Obama's fault, you already know I don't think he's helping, but the economy is in a shambles whether you like it or not.
Just cause your boy is in the house doesn't mean everything is perfect now.
A lot of things led up to this, one of them is Bush, but the "ZOMG BUSH" argument that you guys apply to everything is played out, and very very short sighted.

All of this is true. Also, the argument could be made that had Carter spent more domestically, as both Clinton and Obama have done with stimulus packages, the sour economy he inherited would have turned around instead of sputtering on for his entire term. I can't argue that, particularly domestically, Carter was, for the most part, a failed administration, but he didn't get EVERYTHING wrong.

There is Reagan, but then there's Carter who got the housing bubble started, then Clinton who super charged it.
You can blame just about everybody, but I suppose you're going to ignore the fact that bush tried to get congress to do something about it 18 times and got blocked.

The government forced lenders to give mortgages to people who couldn't afford them, then the obvious happens, and then they blame "predatory lenders" for the ensuing carnage.
If you take the government's word as "debunking" then you have a problem.

Too bad the Republican-controlled congress he had for 6 of his 8 years couldn't do anything about it.

Yeah, except they didn't. Subprime lenders are usually state licensed, not federal; which exempts them from the CRA. Also, during the Bush administration, there was a severe lack of enforcement of the CRA, so the lenders that were bound to follow that law faced essentially no consequences for not abiding by it.

Put the bong down dude. 90% of lenders in sub-prime and Alt-A were Countrywide, Indymac, WAMU, Accredited Home Lending, etc. NONE of them were Commercial Banks, thus not regulated by CRA. The Commercial Banks made very few loans to people who did not qualify.

Actual history is not revisionist history. You should really get Hannity's dick out of your mouth. You have no idea where that thing's been.

Speaking only for myself here, but hell farking no. Politicians are only human, and for some, even calling them that is being generous. I have fewer idealogical conflicts with Democrats than Republicans on most things, but I don't agree 100% with either party.
