By congressional rules it's okay to get them drunk and fark them, but it's definitely not okay to send them creepy text messages.

Moral of the story: If you're in a position of power, you're expected to use your underlings to their fullest for whatever amuses you at the moment, and toss them aside when they've outlived their usefulness. None of this pussyfooting around will be tolerated.

Are they still refusing to pay them, or did they admit their mistake and pay the taxes with interest?

If subby were to fail to pay, that would be his/her first option as well. Further failure to pay would be a jailin'.

Damn you, Obama! Why did you have to run for President? Your mere existence is setting this nation on fire.

There isn't a single thing that Obama's choices did that would put you in jail. Happens all the time and people pay it back. It literally happens ALL THE GODDAMNED TIME. I've dealt with the IRS. Yes, they want their money, but, no, you won't go to jail for any of the mistakes those people made.

I know I found it funny more for the fact that apparently a man whose taxes were too complicated would be the one handling the countries, and didn't think he did anything wrong.

The fact that they made errors, which were conveniently overlooked until anyone bothered to check, means that I shouldn't have to try to fill out the 12 line form.

The law was very, very unclear on his situation. So much so, the IRS tried to clarify it repeatedly, since many others were making the mistake. This is all googlable, or you can continue with the talking points.

I don't get it. Is there a member of the Obama administration who is not paid up on all their taxes?

I know some had problems before they joined the Administration. But they had to clean all that up as a condition of being part of the Obama team.

1) Some Democrats don't pay their taxes, many of them avoiding years of filing

2) Some of those were appointed position in Obama's cabinet, where said tax indiscretions were discovered

3) ??????

4) But...bu.....b....BUSH!!!

What, you don't find it humorous that the guy we entrusted to help fix the economy apparently couldn't figure out his tax forms? I'm not saying it means he will fail, but it's at least humorous.

I hate the guy and think he was a horrible pick. However, his mistake was the most understandable of the group. Again, the IRS itself was fuzzy on the rules.

PascalsGhost: It literally happens ALL THE GODDAMNED TIME. I've dealt with the IRS.

When you put it to them very clearly and simply like, "You know that 5,000 dollars you just took out of the corporate checking account because you think I didn't pay some tax ten years ago? Well, it was going to pay my employees tomorrow. So I guess I'll be padlocking the doors and shutting the place down," they suddenly can be very pleasant and accommodating. I've dealt with the IRS, too. They put the money back.

But they can, and do pull that kind of shiat. More often than most people realize. I think it was numero one or two why I got the hell out of business. They power they have is just unimaginable to most folks.

Dude, if you got to the point where they froze your funds, you had been warned over and over. They have no interest in doing that until they have no other choice. I've let it go that long, and it was my fault as I had ignored them.

And as soon as I called, it was un froze and I made payment arrangments. They have huge power, yes, but they only go that far when you forse their hand.
