And so many people in the area here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this, this is working very well for them.

You can understand the outrage when you consider the pressure those poor people are dealing with. Their living conditions are far too tents.

Rotsky?

Anyway, Berlusconi can be bit of an ass, and hardly is representative of Italians (even if he represents them), not to mention of Europeans.

The 72-year-old premier last week threatened "direct and tough" measures against the Italian press for its coverage of his antics at the G20 summit in London...

This man is not in any way, shape, or form, a democrat. A crook, fascist, wannabe dictator, perhaps.

To add insult to injury his government was warned three weeks prior to the quake and they ignored it plus rumor has it admonished the team that warned them.

It is like when someone tells you the worst hurricane in 100 years is about to hit New Orleans and after the fact you say you had no idea it could have been that bad.

Farking Italians. I was at a bar in Prague back in 2006 and it was there that I realized for the first time why Italians are considered such assholes. Being a stoner I did a bit of research before I went to Prague and found out that you can buy weed at some bars or clubs. I was nervous about asking anybody and just about gave up when I caught a whiff of the stuff. I already had a nice buzz from all the Staropramen so I figured I'd try and score some. There were a couple of guys smoking joints so I went up to one of them and asked if I could have a drag. The guy said no and walked away. Turned out the guy was Italian. Luckily the guy behind the bar saw what happened and not only offered me a drag of his J but introduced me to the house dealer and got me hooked up. Since that day though they aren't just Italians but "Farking Italians".

Alaska Volcano eruption? Your kids can make snow angels with the ashes!

I don't know how this guy hasn't been driven out of office, kicked in the balls or blown up by a suicide bomber composed entirely of explosive rage.
If the Italians were like the French his head would be used as a football in one of the many plazas outside parliament.
He hasn't even the slightest semblence of legality, morality or national interest and he's an arrogent prick about it too.

The Italians know how to do it right; they dragged Mousoulini's deadass through the street then hung him from a lightpost

Only after his military/police had ran away entirely from the allies and his government overthrown. I couldn't see it happening with the German army in town.
/not that I'd like to go up against those guys either

Well, this is the country that produced Marcus Aurelius. Suggesting that people keep their internal enjoyment of life and their external circumstances separate is nothing new there.
