Everytime I read that headline, I first see it as "Golden Girls awards gave lifetime achievement..."

I got the "KISS Alive II" double album for Christmas when I was 8, and I rocked my little head off. I was obsessed, even to the point of dressing up as Gene Simmons for Halloween.

I go back and listen to it from time to time for nostalgia's sake.

It's frighteningly bad.

That was my first thought as well. Nice to see them get some love, but really?

KISS is far more awful than Slipknot, and far more reliant on their gimmick.

I mean all of those nu-metal and industrial bands rely on the aesthetic to get the vulnerable teens in on the branding, but I can't think of any band ever who's as much of a brand as KISS.

I like Slipknot. I also play guitar, mostly heavy metal, Flamenco, and spanish classical.

My opinions are facts. LoL!

The nice thing about a metal-only awards show is that there is absolutely no possibility of Nickelback or Coldplay winning any awards.

I don't think Ozzy is bad at all when he's singing. He's one of the few artist I don't need to look up lyrics for. Now when he tries to talk that's a different story. SNL did a good skit on this a while back. He was trying to order take out and nobody knew what the hell he was saying until he started singing his order.
