Those have got to be some huge paintings. 90lbs of weed would take up, what..maybe 6-7 cubic feet. plus the area the frames take up.

Depends on the frame type used. I had a summer job back in the early 90's framing artwork for a local gallery, and some of those ornate frames they used were easily 7 inches or more wide and several inches thick. Hollow those out and you've got a lot of room for pot, especially on those 8'x4' landscape paintings that folks hang over the fireplace.
