(Billboard) Sad Health issues delaying new Aerosmith album but won't stop them from touring with ZZ Top this summer. Honestly, when the ramp up to the stage is no longer for the equipment, it's pretty much over   (billboard.com) divider line 18

I'm not much of an Aerosmith fan beyond what they've done since 1978, but I'll see the Rev. Billy G any day.

How long could it possibly take for Aerosmith to record an album in the Pro Tools age?

How many do you think will actually notice the transition from Voodoo Zombie Aerosmith to Undead Zombie Aerosmith?

Well they still have to write the songs and lay down the tracks. Mixing is only part of it.

Assuming they still write their own songs, that is...

FTA:'Perry tells Billboard.com that the record sessions... were delayed when he had to have surgery earlier this year to clear out an infection in his knee replacement.'

THIS ain't ROCKANDROLL!

Old gods, almost dead...

Oh yeah. Always time to party on the patio.

Damn, I have a similar blown-out knee problem myself and am having surgery soon. It sucks getting old. Ya' know, youth is sure enough wasted on the young.

I'd see (and saw several times) the Rev. Billy G pre-Afterburner. There is no techno beats in blues.

I saw ZZ Top a bunch of times back in 1973 and then in 1974 and 1975, before and after "LaGrange" and "Tres Hombres" made them huge. You want to hear some guitar that will make you weak in the knees, check out their first two albums. Before the beards and the cars.

Right.

Because they have no musical talent or creativity. So it makes sense that after years of composing and arranging music that they would hire others to do so. Yeah.

(Except for that one stupid song for Stenen's daughter's movie.)

And how. Although it has some "late model" stuff, this is one of my favorite ZZ Top albums.

A little late to the game.

Seen ZZ twice, and will go again, and again, if I have the money. Saw Aerosmith in the 90's on the...umm..."Pink" tour. (can't remember the title). and would love to see them again.

I don't care if they're old. If they're still enjoying playing music live, then I'll go see 'em.

Oh...and they do have people help them write some of their music now. I don't think it's all of it, but mainly to help them put it together sometimes.
