Someone post a good Pogues song so I can hear one. I always thought the appeal was seeing a guy with revolting teeth singing shiatty songs.

Well, that song dig a great job of hammering home the fact that The Pogues suck. Anyone got a link to a Pogues song that sounds good?

I've always been partial to Lorca's Novena, better known as the song from the climactic scene in "Grosse Point Blank." (new window)

i saw the pogues twice in the summer of 1986, once in helsinki and once in geneva. both were amazing shows.

the helsinki show was particularly amazing because it was a small street dance where you could get very close to the band. shane mcgowan came out with a half bottle of wine in one hand and a cigarette up each nostril. he said he loved the finns because they were the only audience drunker than he was, which was observably true.

The Pogues and Madness at the same show? I am off to check my frequent flier miles.

I haven't seen Pogues in years...although I may still have a few of my best slammers.

You should apologize to your schoolteachers for wasting their time trying to educate you. It obviously didn't take.

You don't deserve this if you don't like Fairytale of New York, but I'm feeling generous.

Jesus, even in the less-traveled threads of the Music tab do you find trolls. And biters.

/De gustibus... etc. etc.
