Also, am I the only person with any kind of common sense that thinks the supposed "rule" about not touching the queen is retarded? She's her own person and can decide if she's comfortable with someone's hand on her back or on her shoulder.

I know I'd do whatever I could to eradicate that stupid, posh "rule" if I had the chance to meet her majesty, including bumping and grinding the old bitty until she slapped my ass. Ooh, yeah! Take that, you high-falutin' British media!

Can't wait for the wailing and gnashing of teeth that will in no doubt ensue.

Apparently the Queen liked Michelle Obama a lot.

Don't you know? THE QUEEN IS POISONOUS!!!

It must be true, I saw it on the Daily Show.

Plus, if you turn you back on her, she will cut you.

From the warm words the US president showered on Gordon Brown, to the adulation shown by the British public to the first couple and that already famous touchy moment between Michelle Obama and the Queen

This paper is delusional. Our special relationship with them totters on the brink of dissolution thanks to Barry's bumbling.

I don't think so. the British still get a kick of acting like Americans just fell off the haywagon, they'll have their laugh and move on.

In fact this whole tour by Obama isn't going to do much harm or good. The main characteristic of European foreign policy is torpor, and that won't change. No matter how much Obama abases himself.

And strangely, the leaders of social democracies don't seem to buy into this idea of borrowing a shiatLOAD of money, over many years, to spend on social programs as a way of stimulating the economy. Maybe thats because they've already tried it and it didn't work. Which puts Obama's fiscal policies to the left of them.

Yes, yes. It's the paper that's delusional.

Can we just give people like this something shiny to play with while the rest of us fix the problems they created? I envision a huge cardboard box with a sign that might attract them . . . something like "FREE WATERBOARDING DEMONSTRATION!" or "DOMINICAN BOYS!" . . .

Hmm...I positively find myself not reacting at all to this positive lauding of the British press reacting positively to the Obama's positiveness.
