(Prefix) Interesting Nick Cave, Ryan Adams and Billy Bragg discuss novels. You know that novel they've been working on for years? You know, with all the exciting plot points? That novel they said would be ready a long time ago? Remember?   (prefixmag.com) divider line 17

You mean Nick Cave, who according to TFA, has already written a novel, and has another one on the way?

Surprised the article didn't mention John Wesley Harding, who has actually published two novels, but maybe they weren't aware of it, because he wrote them under his birth name. I read the first, Misfortune, and it was pretty enjoyable, if a bit lengthy.

Three if you throw in King Ink I and II.
How lucky is Ryan Adams to be mentioned with them?

I dropped twenty bucks on a book by Billy Bragg called "The Progressive Patriot," sight unseen, then opened it to find out it was about English politics.

/guess that's the price I pay for loving him the way that I do

I was surprised how good that book was, I wish it hadn't been stolen years ago or I would read it again...is it still in print?

Hmm. Billy Bragg... "The Progressive Patriot..." Billy Bragg...

Really? English politics? I would've guessed it was a barbecue cookbook. Or something about Jupiter, maybe...

Amazon has it in stock, and with a different cover than mine, so I'd say yes. Plus it's global financial crisis, used everything is half off as people sell their prized collections to buy more cat food for their kids.
