Of that music, the poker face is one that doesn't make me want to claw my ears out. It does make me laugh out loud when she does the "pa-pa-pa-poker face", which distracts from my SERIOUS DANCE FACE but that's all right with me.

In any case, I don't like the stuff you linked, can't imagine dancing to it. In a lounge type atmosphere it might be cool.

Sunshine clip sounded a little better but still not what I'd consider "fun".

Well, I could go through a list of links, starting from Jeff Mills and Robert Hood and ending up anywhere as to what I think is good "club" music, but you're right. It's not top 40. I think it's highly danceable, but such tunes have their place in a DJ set where they really can show off their purpose and intent. Different vibes than top 40 dance fluff.

However, the vocal hook in that Gaga song, is without a doubt, a big joke by the producer. Definitely an attempt at something subliminal.

No comment on her music. Haven't heard enough to have a valid point beyond opposite of any of my preferences.

However, any time I see this "Lady Gaga", all I can think is "Neat, Blossom went to a rave".

Her citizenship doesn't exclude her work from being Europop. She's more popular in Europe, iirc. Euros love that vapid repetitive stuff. It works for them for the same reason Baywatch was the most popular show in the world. Complex things don't translate well. Simple things like violence and sex, are international. You don't have to translate boobs or understand the words to a dance song to dance to it.

One year while i lived in Germany the song of the year was 2 Unlimited's "No Limits Lyrics". Inane, repetitive, had a good beat and you could dance to it.

Her new song has this stupid chorus where she exclaims "I wanna take a ride of your disco stick". She bothers me, not because her music is crap (it's not great, but I have heard worse), but rather that she's just trying too hard. Chill out, nobody knows who you are yet. It used to sound like that here, but in the last week or two they have changed it. I even wrote to the radio station complaining about it when it first came out.
