Of course it's all Obamas fault you know.

Something bothers me about Politico, and I'm not sure what. I think it may be the "he said-she said" nature of everything they write about.

Palin loyalists fear her roll out is screwing up her public image that no matter how hard you polish a turd, it's still a turd. So they blame the only people they can. Her staff turd polishers for inferior polishing technique, longing for the good old-fashioned real american polishing skills of Karl Rove.

It's not the rollout that's the problem. Your candidate's approval numbers suck because YOUR CANDIDATE SUCKS. Sometimes not even the best political marketing in the world can help you.

Roll out?

Several aides and allies from inside and outside last year's presidential campaign complain of being frozen out by the Alaska governor's staff

Another former Palin ally still in touch with the governor was blunt when asked to explain Palin's missteps since the election: "Taking advice from Greta and her husband," said this source.

"These people are amateurs. Palin is now a national figure and she can't afford to have a junior varsity staff," said a Republican operative who has worked with the Palin camp and speaks highly of the governor's abilities.

So, she's taking advice from new people now. And the GOP regulars are reacting in their traditional fashion.

It's not that Politico was started by Reagan's former chief of staff and is financed by a dirty ex banker who had a great business relationship with Augusto Pinochet?

A well-heeled personal injury lawyer, Coale has been a major Democratic donor. It was his suggestion that Palin create a PAC to pay for travel and avoid ethics complaints in Alaska.

It kinda sounds like this guy is giving her the worst possible advice he can on purpose.

God, I should be a Sarah Palin adviser. I would be awesome at that job:

"Governor, I really think you should start advocating privatizing social security. I found these financial wizards- John Thaine and Jack DeSantis- who would be GREAT choices for managing the fund. Let's do a whole series of PSAs with these two! Thaine's got this *awesome* office.."

FTA

"There was the infamous YouTube turkey video in November where, unbeknownst to Palin, live turkeys were slaughtered just behind her within the camera frame."

No, she knew, the raw footage includes the camera man asking if she wants to move and she declines.

After pardoning a turkey.

That's how stupid this twat is.

And they blame an inner circle they say is composed of not-ready-for-primetime players

but she CLEARLY has/had more executive XP than obama
so there is NO WAY this could be happening !!

the gaffs clearly must be work of the danerous leftwingnutlibtards

It's just amazing to me that the two Republican personalities most in the spotlight right now are Palin and Wurzelbacher. Jeez. They're really up the creek, if those two are the face of the Party.

I_Am_Weasel 2009-03-29 05:25:07 PM
It IS the fault of Palin staff.

If they had 'rolled out' someone other than Palin, the campaign might be doing better.

That should have been a selling point for her campaign. "Palin: the only candidate you can be sure cannot be attacked with witchcraft."

Pair it with Jindal and his exorcism and the GOP pretty much has a zombie immune ticket. So, they'll have that going for them. They probably won't even need that robot insurance.

Interviews with Alaska and Washington-based GOP political professionals who are familiar with the Palin operation describe the governor's team as a gang that couldn't shoot straight, a staff whose failure to execute basic political maneuvers too often entangles the governor in awkward and embarrassing situations that could have easily been avoided.

She should go it alone without a team of people trying to stop her doing or saying stupid shiat. I'm sure that wouldn't be awkward or embarrassing for anyone.

Sarah Palin might be the most victimized political leader of modern times. Just a few weeks ago she was asked on the floor of the Alaska legislature, by a LEADER OF HER OWN PARTY, whether she had any plans for the upcoming legislative session. She explained that she didn't like being put on the spot like that. While Palin is routinely attacked for no reason, the grace and class with which she handles her abusers is a thing of beauty to behold. HANG IN THERE SARAH!!! WE LOVE YA!!!

I mentioned this to someone today. If all the major newspapers fold, we're going to be stuck with blogs for news. The work Knight-Ridder and McClatchy did during the Iraq war replaced by some stoner in his pajamas and Joe "I'm a reporter" AttentionWhore.

The horror. The horror.

Good luck with having Scientology moles in your campaign.

Someday, a Republican is going to take responsibility for his or her own failures rather than blaming the Libs or the drive-by MSM media or an under/overzealous staffer or the Clintons or RINOs or George Soros. I will promptly drop dead of shock. Fortunately for me, I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

Only Palin and her staffers would believe that she has a positive public image left to tarnish.

Even staunch, loyal Republicans like me recognize she's not a viable candidate for any higher office. At this point, she's just a good fundraising tool. That's it.

Your MILFy looks are all you have going for you...I mean really your not fooling anyone into believing your intelligent. Just walk out, let your hair down seductively, and strip out of those high budget clothes everyone is biatching about."

I'm waiting to see how her vaunted approval numbers hold up if she can't continue to give a grand or so to everyone in her state each year.

Then again, if she has a problem, I'm told Scientology can help with that.

I don't get why the left hates this woman. What did she do that is not part of the feminist manifesto?

She comes from a modest background, has raised a family, dealt with teen pregnancy in the harsh light of national scrutiny, become the chief executive of the largest state in the US, ran for the second highest office in the land, can cook, gave birth while in office, looks good in a skirt and an up-do, is self-reliant enough to take on an "old boys" network, can shoot a gun, gives a good speech, has a "special needs" child, seems very personable...

If Maureen Dowd had invented her in one of her novels she would be the darling of the left.

Wait a minute...she's Republican. Stupid worthless broad. DIAF.

It's been fun seeing Palin and Jindal being elevated to "chosen one" status and then tripping over themselves. Don't forget Michael Steele. First the RNC is like 'look, we're not those racist misogynists like you think we are' and then they just seem to cherry pick people who are specifically not white males instead of picking people who are genuinely worth their salt, regardless of gender or race. I don't think the RNC has looked ever more foolish. I thought after Bush II the only place the could go was up. Nope. They've got Palin, Jindal, Steele, and Rush.

It really, truly is satisfying watching this implosion.

Did the article happen to be written by someone still in high school by any chance? I swear, I felt like I was reading the same damn thing over and over again. It was disorienting. Maybe it was all the sugar I ate earlier...
