I'm going to record it live and upload it to a file share.

Take that!

I heard a rumor that Cliff's parents were also invited ..

Say what you will, but that's actually a pretty classy move.

I think that's what makes it big news---Metallica and classy are rarely seen together

It's only a one-off, bummer. Jason was the coolest member of the band.

And I say before Metallica gets into the hall, they say they're sorry for turning us all into criminals by whining about Napster. Like the neverending Metalli-tour in 91-92-93 didn't make you enough money. Jackasses.

They've more or less sucked since the Black Album anyway. Screw Selloutica.

It seems like they are trying to correct past sins. First they invite Mustaine back and now Newstead. So who knows maybe we will get that apology?

/but they can't take back load...or reload...or st. anger

You were criminals before they whined. They just put the spotlight on your shady ass.

I believe it was part of the SKOM video, as well as a blurb somewhere on the internet to reinforce the statements made in the video. That won't stop people from getting their Dimmu Borgir thongs in a bunch.

THIS.

WTF, seriously. Trujillo is a good bassist, yeah, but HOF? That's ridiculous.

And he and the drummer for Faith No More should be shamed for letting Sharon Osbourne pay them to defame one of Ozzy's greatest records, Blizzard Of Ozz.

Yes, the liner notes from "Garage Days RE-Revisited"

Fixed that for you. The Creeping Death EP with Jump in the Fire, Blitzkrieg, Am I Evil, Seek and Destroy(live), Phantom Lord(live) was technically Garage Days Revisited, though it's not printed on the album. I thought my vinyl copy only had four songs, but it's in storage and I'm too lazy to go dig it out. :)

Came here for this and was not disappointed.

At first I felt that Jason had gotten a raw deal. But as time has passed, it turns out he got to play with Metallica during their most successful period, then got to leave before the stink of what Metallica has turned into could stick to him. Good on ya, Jason.

coffee fiend 2009-03-29 09:22:49 PM
Newsted was the only sane one in the bunch. For that reason, he knew when to get the hell outta there.

Looks like everyone is back except Dave............he got an invite..........to the preparty..........d*ck as$es

Why the hell should Mustaine be inducted? So f'n what if he co-wrote a lot of early material, they kicked his drugged up ass out before they recorded KEA.

True that.

This will be a nice way to cap off 14 years.

/It's not like you get a Metallica Rolex for years of service...
