I love them comparing the vaguest images as perfect copies of the shroud of turin, the cloth supposedly over Jesus's face. Except for the fact that a cloth placed on your face for just three days will not transfer your image to itself and the shroud of turin is an obvious fake.

I've said this before: The Fortean Times, whose breaking news feature plays news itme ping-pong with Fark.com, created a Pravda forum so that stupid tabloid crap wouldn't get mixed up with the real stories about UFO sightings, ancient lost civilizations, cryptozoology, etc.

The Weekly World News is gone (except for an insert in The Sun, but there's always Pravda. Bat Boy-shiat crazy keeps the True Believers of every faith and ideology hopped up on credulity and provides the rest of us with a good cheap laugh.

As I always used to point out, The Weekly World News was half the price of a comic book and twice as funny. What I loved best was playing spot the "real" news item. As Farkers know, it's pretty hard sometimes to tell the stuff that WWN and Pravda retail from the stuff in the MSM and the blogosphere.

Thanks to the deficit of editorial power on the web, the idiots commenting on stories in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, The Telegraph and New Scientist are the same idiots who believe the pseudo-Fark in the tabloids, on political blogs, and FUD-mongering anti-global warming agitprop sites.
