If it really convincing anyone, that fact scares me more than the cancer.

No kidding. I'm saddened the developer was tricked into selling out such a brilliant technology to some politically correct morons with a bunch of money. Children worldwide are suffering due to lack of vitamin D from lack of sunlight because of getting kidnapped and terrorism and this could be key for our next generation of fighters.

Today, the woman who owns the Chinese restaurant in our shopping center came in looking to buy sunscreen... to prevent her from burning herself with cooking oil.

I read somewhere that TotalFark is bad for your eyes because there are more pixels per square inch and that overstimulates the retinal ganglion cells which, in plain speak, causes undue wear and tear.
..and those unfortunates that ascribe to UltraFark, well, just forget about it.

I've got the same problem with some porn sites, different muscle overstimulated, tho.

What kind of person believes that computer screens can actually emit UV radiation? Don't this people have consumer grade lights at home? (Imagine the lawsuits if they actually did...)

But to be honest, a "laptop tan" would be neat to witness... just think.. tan fingers, knuckles and face... the rest totally untanned...

Wait, wait, didn't anyone RTFA?

The site then goes on to warn the public of the threat posed by skin cancer, which kills an average of five Britons every day.

Britain gets enough sun to give people skin cancer?

They tan their teeth, obviously. You didn't think it was a lack of hygiene, did you?!

The point was it's majorly popular to fake n bake. A ton of people own tanning booths at home over there due to lack of sun.

Notice how Zombie Kirk Douglas is one color, but his woman's face is not tanned like the rest of her freakish body. These are disturbing people to gaze upon. I could not have them over for coffee.

Good idea to promote how dangerous tanning can be. As someone who has been in the dermatologist surgery three times in as many years, anything to get the message out is ok with me.

Had a little spot on the side of my neck. 110 external, 80 internal stitches for a spot no bigger than half the size of my little finger nail. Healed beautifully, can't tell unless you really look - hard. I had wonderful, talented doctors, which I'm very grateful for. Then had a couple of spots on my left arm. They scared, nothing gross, but scared just the same after surgery. I'm waiting for the next spot to appear, hoping it doesn't. And I never sunbathed, never was a sun worshiper. It has to be the fair skin and red hair. I will not go outside now without slathering myself with sun block. Probably to late, but what the hell.

DirtyOldGeek 2009-03-29 09:03:16 AM
For those who did not RTFA, it's a spoof site. It's actually a site to raise awareness for skin cancer. Good info there.
