Excellent headline! +1

Seems the suspect is cooperating a bunch with police instead of peeling out of Louisiana.

Funny headline, although the joke is low-hanging fruit.

According to the story, she was a "community organizer" from Chicago. Do you know what usually happens to "community organizers" from Chicago?

Terrible story. Funny headline. +1, and move for reconsideration of redlight.

Deadhouseplants: If he's found guilty, I wonder if he'll go for an a peel.

Careful, that's a slippery-slope argument.

Female...named Tate...stabbed multiple times?

I guess her husband decided he would Sharon share alike.

How is that ironic without the added on joke?

Doesn't a headline have to be ironic by itself without the farkified version to use the ironic tag?

Or am I missing some pop culture reference?

Thanks for the headline. I lol'd. +1

How is it possible that you have 242 greenlights and no idea how fark misuses the ironic tag? Your comment might have actually justify the tag, which is deliciously non-linear.

Odd coincidence? Yes. Ironic? No. Is it really so difficult...?

/Wondering what chance there is of getting a "coincidence" tag added at some point in the future to assist us in resolving this deeply troubling misunderstanding of the term...

Hopefully justice will be doled out. It's not like Chiquita was living in a banana republic.

The real shame of it all is she was quite a peach.

Wow, the headline has the husband as the killer. Nice. So if the cops say he did it, it must be true! You same Farkers who get all pissy when cops get caught lying are just fine with hubby being the killer because they say so. Despite the fact that he has cooperated fully with the police AND she was involved in a high profile murder case and got murdered at her office. Seriously. I'm not saying the husband is innocent but DAMN, you make him the killer in the headline. If that was your real headline (if you were a real journalist) you'd be hit with a libel suit.

It is worth noting that the ramifications of farkers abusing the truth and policemen abusing the truth probably have vastly different outcomes and relative importance.

Despite a frantic attempt to patch her wounds with little blue and white oval stickers, by daybreak alas, Chiquita had ripened.

Why the ironic tag? Anyone who kills a lawyer deserves the hero tag.

Irony: when the actual outcome is in opposition to, and in mockery of, the intended outcome.

In light of that, the headline is perfectly cromulent.

T-Boy 2009-03-29 08:26:50 PM
Actually she was a good person and a good lawyer. She used to volunteer at juvenile court. While I wouldn't have retained her at this point, she was doing well and coming along. I didn't know her well but we had met. This is old news here, but it is still just as sad.

But I know this is FARK and the headline is fair game.
