They stole that content from somewhere else. I know I have seen those exact album covers, in that exact order, on one page at some other site before with actual text accompanying it. It was long before they put it up as well.

The Electric Amish!? That's not a bad album cover . . . it's satire!

What a novel idea for the subject of a list. Never seen one before.

The "Cody Matherson" cover is a fake.

Is Kirk holding a tripod in a manner that it would suggest it to be a "Space Weapon"?

If so, then that is the coolest thing ever.

I don't see what's supposed to be wrong with the Electric Amish album cover.

No Devastatin' Dave, the turntable slave?

You're right, spidermann , it's lifted from a web site, can't seem to find it at the moment.

Yeah, these lists are definitely overdone and have a lot of the same artists. And they're not even all "bad" album covers exactly; some are just ill-advised concepts to begin with and obviously the work of amateurs. What I'd really like is to hear some of these albums, because I'm sure that's the real treat.

/Anyone know where I can listen to samples of Joyce?

I've posted this in a couple of similar album cover threads, but when I was in grade school in New York I got to meet Slim Goodbody. I honestly don't know if there was one Slim Goodbody, or if he was a costumed character like Chuck E. Cheese where he was localized, but all I knew was that I had seen Slim Goodbody on TV, so meeting him in person had to be pretty damn cool.

I think there's a Farker that has a website devoted to bad album covers (don't remember who) and a lot of these are his. I don't know if they ripped these from his site, but it seems like every year or so they show up linked from somewhere else.

I hate "worst of" lists when it comes to entertainment. Worst movies? Uwe Boll's films are actually watchable even if they're shiat. There's movies out there so bad that they would drive Mike and/or Joel over the edge. Worst books? Do you have any idea how many nutjobs self-publish? Same thing with music. Every shiattier than shiatty band on the planet has an EP they either ordered or burned themselves. And those have little envelopes with covers on them.

Just annoys me that these lists deride stuff that's nothing compared to the actual worst...and most of that you'll thankfully never have to see/hear/read.

I'm not saying it isn't her dad, but judging from the way he is dressed, holding her hand, and gazing into her eyes I don't think he's thinking about her "dating" anyone but him

Cover unfortunateness aside, this is a classic album, one of the early defining works of minimalism. He's the "Riley" of the Who's "Baba O'Riley".

The Many Facets of Roger, is actually a good album. Of course most people know him for a later song of his, I Want to Be Your Man. He was also in a rather underappreciated group, Zapp.

Also, I'm wondering why exactly the Merrill Womach cover is so bad. Because the guy was burned and has the audacity to appear on his album cover?

Just in case you want a taste of what John Bult has to offer, here is a link to part of the song Julie's Sixteenth Birthday: Link (poppity)

Now, after listening to this snippet, I can't imagine that he didn't go home, liquored up, and do some thing to his daughter that Chris Hansen wouldn't approve of.

No that's not it. More power to him, not allowing his appearance to influence his life. I mean that.

The reason is two words...christian music.

In fact many of these albums are christian music albums. This is not an accident.

Bach and company = great christian music

Everything else = carp. (see what I did there?)

Merrill Womach (February 7, 1927 in Spokane, Washington) is an American undertaker, organist and gospel singer, notable both for founding National Music Service, which provides recorded music to funeral homes across America, and for surviving an October 26, 1961 plane crash in Beaver Marsh, Oregon that left him him disfigured with third degree burns over most of his body. Womach authorized an autobiography of his recovery titled Tested by Fire, co-authored by his former wife Virginia and Mel White. A documentary film titled He Restoreth My Soul was also made about his accident and subsequent recovery.

Someone needs to do a "where are they now" type article to see what the "artists" are up to now.

It would also be nice if the question "What were you thinking?" could be asked and answered.
