It's sad when cheesy front men think THEY are the band. Look where it got David Lee Roth.

/singers are a dime a dozen

"Cornell went on to say that the band had an agreement in place that none of them would play Soundgarden songs unless all original members were involved."

Nonsense - Cornell has played SG songs on his solo tours.

Ok, after that GIS I just did, he just got ten times hotter.

That's awesome, I've always wondered what Kim Thayil's been up to. Wish he had gotten in with the stoner metal scene.

Not one's with Cornell's abilities. He is damn good

Bands always say they'll never reunite and I'm sure they mean it when they're popular and rich. It changes when you're mocked or comletely forgotten and can no longer afford to heat both pools at your L.A estate.

Cornell's solo records are awful, and get worse with each one. He's wasting his talent.

He spends too much time reading Billboard or something.

Badmotorfinger FTW

Chris Cornell is a douche, despite being a good singer, he just doesn't seem to play well with bands.

His music is alright when he has a band backing him up, but his solo efforts are awful, making me wonder if he doesn't rely heavily on other people to help him write his songs.

Trent Reznor publicly trashed his new album, and Trent was right, it's unbelievably bad. I can't believe Cornell or Timbaland would release anything that bad. They've grown Mike Myers size egos about how good their work is.

Tad needs a punch in the throat for raping that song.
nice to see Kim with a guitar in his hands, though. Last I had heard he was painting houses or something.

Cornell and his new band put on a really, really strong show, including a heavy dose of Soundgarden numbers.

Tibamland also porduced Justin Tibmerlake.

The other two songs from the "reunion" set:

I respect Tad's work, but what a farking disaster on the mic for such a momentous occasion. Seriously, no vocals would have been much, much, much better. Couldn't someone wave a farking pie in front of the guy to get him off the stage? Jaysus.

Whoops, the second Youtube link is Spoonman again. Here's the correct third song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyJ06zzapAA&feature=related

To be fair he couldn't leave until he proved his register for the day.

Agreed. I loved Soundgarden and didn't even mind Audioslave all that much but his solo work is just horrible. Although I did like that tune Seasons from the Singles soundtrack album. Not sure
if he wrote it himself or not.

On a related note, Spoonman used to hang with this guy

maybe NOW he's good, but back in the day his voice sounded like a thousand herpely vaginas scratching themselves on plate glass.

/for the image, you are welcome
