I'm new to the music tab, and I'm totally confused by this "who" thing. On the rest of Fark, everyone is happy to BS about things they know little about. In the music tab, it's the opposite. Here people brag about not knowing things and being unable to use google.

More importantly, what are the nature of his 'weapons charges'?

He won't serve 366 days. I say maybe 8 months at the most.

I heard this and I don't really think it's true ,but it maybe. If you get a one year sentence you have to serve the full year. If you get a sentence of longer then a year you can get out early for good behavior. He was sentenced to longer then a year....

Why couldn't it be Soulja Boy or farking Lil Wayne?

I'm no Rap fan but T.I.'s lyrics are the only new rapper's lyrics that don't make me feel like my intelligence is being drained while listening (albeit inadvertantly).

He illegally obtained and owned several firearms.
Some were fully automatic and some had suppressors.(what the ignorant call "silencers")

He is a convicted felon.
Ownership of ANY firearm is a felony.
Owning a full auto with a suppressor is SUPER DOUBLE TROUBLE BAD illegal.

That he only got a year considering his prior record is nothing short of astonishing.

Here in Texas he would have likely got 30+ years.

Perhaps now he'll be able to experience literal Big shiat Poppin

/first heard T.I. on the remix of Destiny Child's "Soldier" and didn't think he was wack

Are you? Have you ever sold a record?

Maybe if you came out from the rock you live under and had something to say and at least an ounce of marketability you might make the headline of a fark link.

Or you can just hate from the sidelines...whatever

You know, if I was ever an artist, I'd intentionally come to places like this and make comments like, "Who?", just so folks would jump on the bandwagon and tell me how little I've done in my life.

Argyle, where were you when we needed to know Miss Cleo was a lesbian?

Heh, made me smile.

Hey, I kinda like that Dead and Gone song, and I have no idea why. T.I. isn't the worst of them, though. Better than snap music.

ZombieStreetCred 2009-03-28 12:58:44 AM
Wait, he's going to the big house? The clink? But, but...I thought T.I. was on the road to redemption! Oh no. Well, I guess he'll have to make his way out of prison using a small rock hammer, a spoon and a Rita Hayworth poster.

11235 2009-03-28 01:15:08 AM
it's a year and a day so it's an actual punishment. anything 365 days or less can be served in county jail, which means a 2wofer. any time served in county values 2x so you're out in 182 days max. 366 is an actual sentence you go to jail for 366 days, and you serve in federal PMITA prison instead of sitting lazy time, playing ball, eucher, and reading danielle steele novels.

SubBass49 2009-03-28 01:15:26 AM
T.I. was (and maybe still is) a crackhead.

Check out Lil Wayne's mixtapes, his lyrics are clever. Not intellectual, but his wordplay skills are thoroughly entertaining. I would put Hardbody, Kush, and I'm A Beast up against any Fark-approved rap any day.

Funny I always thought TI's lyrics were boring, but I mainly know his hits. I think his delivery is one of the best in rap. His verses on My Love and Swagger Like Us are sharp. If Jay-Z or Nas wrote lyrics for TI, that would be an album I would listen to start to finish.

Yea I think you're the Farker that put me on to Hardbody and Beast. Kush was already an anthem though...

The ONLY reason I know who TI is, and only just barely, is that Weird Al's first pay-to-download parody was of his 'music'.

a year and a day? so THAT'S what MCA was talking about.

Last to rap is T.I. , BET's best male hip-hop artist of 2006 and 2007. T.I. claims to be "living revolutionary," which is something the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms can verify. The ATF arrested the rapper last year for buying illegal machine guns and silencers.
