I'm having a hard time believing this. Traditional Russian music is more emo than emo could ever hope to be.

I used to go frequent this Russian restaraunt near Brighton Beach and a Russian friend translated the lyrics to me for a few songs, until he said aw, to hell with it, and summed it up concisely with a "To hell with this, they're all pretty much all minor variations on the theme of expressing a lifetime of regret. Emos : Cry alot, biatch about their lives alot, usually well off kids from well off families that treat them very well. Dress in all black, hair covers parts of face. They go to "shows" and anyone who doesnt look like them is outcasted because they arn't different like they are. They all hate what it's cool to hate, and like what it's cool to like. Normally to pussy to cut themselves anyways.



Punks : Rowdy, drinking, drug smoking, party going young adults. Like to piss people off with their actions and looks, but generally are happy, interesting people. They dont care what the other punk people are doing or look like and generally they all have their own hates and interests. (unless their poser punks)



Punk skaters are either just a punk who likes to skate, or a skter who wants to look punk, ones a poser and the other couldnt care less what you think.

I still can't tell the difference. They all pretty much look and act the same to me (aside from the skaters POSSIBLY skating at some point on those idiotboards they carry around).

Ah well, I might have cared more back when I was in high school, but now they just come off as annoying on those trips to mall stores.
