I guess even Kissinger-who prayed with Nixon-wouldn't go THAT far.
But, Sarah, millions of other Americans got their prayers answered on your issue.

I want to penetrate her. I would also like to tell her how good it is while the act is taking place, just in case she had a strange sort of error in judgement. I would then ask or possibly instruct her to say, "oh yes, yes - this is exactly how I would expect to receive it. Please keep making the same motions back and forth because it pleases me physically as well as emotionally." That way it would be religious and would not offend her deeply rooted beliefs in any way.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but it almost sounds like she snubbed them.

I definitely got that impression too, especially after reading the opening paragraph of the article: "CNN reports that former McCain/Palin staffers are now very unhappy with Sarah Palin and her latest antic: Declaring at an Alaska GOP dinner last week that none of her staffers had been the sort of people she would want to pray with."

It very much sounds like she was being really picky about which people she wanted to pray with.

This person has been relegated to the list of names I know, but have no earthly idea how or why.

I don't know what is more disturbing:

That McCain's people ever thought she would make a good VP, or
that there are still mouth breathers lacking in higher brain
function that think she's presidential material.

I'd rather vote for Lisa Ann.

No lie, I passed someone on the road the other day that was not only ballsy enough to leave his W '04 bumper sticker on his truck, but had a McCain / Palin bumper sticker that said "SARAH!" in enormous letters and "McCain - Palin" in much, much smaller type. I had to point and laugh.

I thrill with glee when I think how these jackholes are eating their own: Palin, Limbaugh, McCain, Tancredo, Steele, Bachman, Savage, Ingrahm. It's like a sideshow of cannibalistic freaks.

Why those Godless McCain people! They should be ashamed of denying her fellowship. It's clear who was the more "Godly" of the two candidates on the ticket. She was the only "Real American" of the duo.
These are the qualities that make a good leader. All that "knowing stuff" is just unnecessary if you have God's chosen one leading the way.

Oh, and Sara- lying on your back and screaming "oh god!" doesn't count as praying.

Why is this dunce still in the news? To give us something to laugh at? Because I don't think that's what the Republicans had in mind.

No Such Agency 2009-03-27 07:46:21 AM
I'm guessing that at this point, she's just randomly flapping her lips in a way that she thinks will please the bible-thumping "real Americans" she believes will sweep her into the White House in four years. However if Obama's victory has shown us anything, it's that the ignorant, bigoted Jesus freaks are not enough to win you an election anymore. Unless she AND her handlers magically gain 50 IQ points (bringing her up to about 95) in the next couple of years she's wasting her breath.

Let's be clear, according to the video, it's not as if the staffers refused her, it just that she couldn't find anyone up to her standards to pray with.

Words almost fail when considering that level of self-righteous arrogance, and if I recall my bible lessons correctly, I think Jesus had a few very choice words for people like that.

bwesb 2009-03-27 07:54:08 AM
Ah yes, the Kim Kardashian of politics; it's almost as if Palin was designed perfectly for Fark. She has no real purpose other than to stand in front of a camera and beg for attention.

That's the crux of it right there. She's letting all the good Christian folk know that McCain/Palin lost not because of her but because of the unrighteousness of McCain and his crew. There was not one other righteous soul who could hold hands with her, pray and do the two christian believers agreeing voodoo that is supposed to move mountains and re-route tornadoes.

That little turn of phrase tells the true believers that they lost, not because they were unrighteous or that Palin was a walking bag of suck but because she was the only righteous christian in the whole campaign crew.

Guntram Shatterhand 2009-03-27 08:00:43 AM
And the GOP schism continues. The sensible ones who are just in it for the power are trying to throw her under the bus (along with Bush) so they could get back into power, and the Jesus Freaks are slurping up everything she says because we ALL know that America is a country of obese and pasty retards.

2010 is going to be fun.

The American People, polls in general and common sense have shown that Religious Fundamentalism is not what people are looking for right now.

Magorn: Words almost fail when considering that level of self-righteous arrogance, and if I recall my bible lessons correctly, I think Jesus had a few very choice words for people like that.

Mark my words, the fundamentalists are going to lap that shiat up. I've listened to them go off about the unlimited power of two bible believing christians praying together and agreeing. It will confirm in their minds that God really was on their side, just that the campaign was so full of DC insiders that the righteous Sarah Palin couldn't fine one other true Christian to work her magic spell with.

Her 2012 nomination strategy has already begun.

Step 1) Distance herself as much as possible from the 08 campaign and everyone involved.

Actually...and I'm a huge ol liberal here; her first budget or two as governer, weren't that bad.

Also, loving the word TWUNT, so going to try and use that 3 times today and tomorrow so it becomes a part of my vocabulary.

ROFLMAO. Hey, Palin: People outside your weird bubble of hyperzealotry don't run around praying 24/7. They're too busy working to make things happen rather than begging the nonexistent spook in the sky to make them happen for them.

No matter how shiatty a job Obama manages to do, we're still about eight billion times better off than we would have been had this mouthbreather ended up a heartbeat away from the presidency.

I don't think several trillion dollars of spending at Neiman Marcus will provide the necessary stimulus.

But then again, the GOP is really gay lately and Palin would look fabulous!

TFA: One anonymous staffer expressed his outrage to CNN. "It's about us people who were on the plane, who showed extreme loyalty to Palin, continually getting thrown under the bus or slapped in the face by her comments, whether she means it or not," the staffer said, adding that this is the kind of thing that would "cause you to question not only your loyalty but her judgment as a leader."

There is a reason you don't show extreme political loyalty to someone with the mentality of a 14-year-old girl.

Have you seen their budget proposal? Dick Cheney's rants? Jindal's children's show? Limbaugh's bouncing jowls? Bachman's creepy smile and unblinking stare into the heart of batshiat insane conspiracy theories? Beck's unhinged weeping? Cantor's going to Spears concerts? Boener's constipated proclamations? Good grief, could the GOP fail ANY harder? Honestly, what the hell do they have going for them right now? Every time they have a new hope, that person completely blows it and winds up looking like a complete moron. First Palin, then Jindal. Last I heard Eric Cantor was their man and now he looks like a doofus too, going to a Britney Spears concert while the rest of his party is slaving away on the budget pamphlet.

I don't even think it's possible for them to get their act together again. I think soon the only party distinctions of importance will be Democrats vs. Blue Dog Democrats.
