If I can put my tin-foil hat on for a moment, there already is something that provides protection against Alzheimer's but the drug companies can't make a dime off of it. It is a natural anti-inflammatory contained in curcumin, which is a spice, iirc. The incidence of Alzheimer's in countries that eat a lot of this spice is near zero. Here is an old article from 2001. Probably newer research since then.

See, I feel the same way...about living in Massachusetts.

Don't get me wrong, I've had a good time the few times I've been in Florida (mostly around the Miami area), but if I have to choose, I'll take my run-down little city on the South Coast of New England over anywhere else in this country.
