One of my favorite jazz tunes. The live album recording is one of the most fun live recordings of any style of music.

With all that soul, it's a pity he's a "smooth jazz" DJ now.

His live version of "Hang On Sloopy" is a lot of fun.

Good stuff, subby, thanks!

Any one know the name of the album that's on? and Hang on Sloopy, too.

He still plays, still releases stuff here and there.

So funny because I just watched this video last week.

The first 1:20 or so is kind of crapola. Then he starts channeling a bit of Oscar Peterson and a bit of Things Ain't What They Used to Be and suddenly it's a different song. Then back to the smooth stuff at around 6 minutes. It's like a tasty blues sandwich with shiat bread.

I'd prefer seeing more stuff from the 50s and 60s myself, but just having jazz on this tab lately is a minor victory. :)
