I've worked with Ken a number of times, and every time he is the coolest guy on stage. Quite the comic, too (which comes through in many of his solos.)

I've been on a roll lately, but overall my green % is still about 5%. I didn't think this had a chance, because as I was submitting it the muppet music vids went pre-green.

I think this one got it for Vignola more than Peplowski, never had much joy with Peplowski submissions before here.

You should have heard Ken trade 4s with Kenny Davern.

Wicked.

Of course, this leads to the story of the funniest 4 bar clarinet solo ever: Ken, Kenny, and a couple of other players were trading 4s at a local jazz party, and it rapidly became a contest to see who could fit the most notes in those four bars. Last time around, Kenny was last and when it came to him he just held a single note for the entire 4 bars. It was the perfect solo for that moment, and it brought the house down.

Great performance, but I'd give that distinction to Ivo Papasov first.
