Come on, we all knew Ricky Schroder would be a Republican after Silver Spoons.

Stereotypes ... the language of Real.

I couldn't find anyone I cared enough about there to be upset at their political affiliation. I'm not sure what the "NOOOOOO" is for unless someone there is particularly ugly...or possibly dead...some were...some should be.

EviLincoln [TotalFark] 2009-03-21 10:39:24 AM
Well who can argue with this star studded line-up? Spanning the talents of NASCAR, Soap operas, prowrestling, rap and country music; the Republican Party is unstoppable.

slobarnuts 2009-03-21 10:41:30 AM
I guess it's safe to say I haven't seen an image of Shannon Doherty in a long time.

From the ?notheather I'd assume subby was talking about Heather Locklear.

He so Republican, they showed him twice.

Meh, that's pretty much a smaller version of the Dem-celeb list: some decent talent, mostly dipshiats.

Drew Carey is a libertarian. The party probably doesn't have ballot status where he votes, so he registered R.

Saborlas [TotalFark] 2009-03-21 11:11:01 AM
Not seeing a lot of people who I'd expect to know any better.

Republicans aren't so bad. I know a couple of them. It's not that I don't like them, I just don't like what they do. Hate the sin and not the sinner, you know? I don't know if I'd be comfortable letting them babysit or teach, but I have to say, they are excellent at interior decorating and styling hair.

FredaDeStilleto [TotalFark] 2009-03-21 11:21:04 AM
You're talking Scott Baio, right?

I didn't see any Scientologists in the slideshow. Do they trend Republican or Democrat? Do they have some weird political party all their own?

Considering they're involved in a massive scheme to take money from stupid people and give it to the rich it's safe to say they're Republicans.

Dan the Schman [TotalFark] 2009-03-21 11:43:20 AM
Obviously the 'NOOOOOO' was for James Earl Jones.

Adam Sandler? Wow. Weird.

Johnny Ramone? I doubt that.

Skail [TotalFark] 2009-03-21 11:44:20 AM
My "Noooooo!" was for Sarah Michelle Gellar. :( Not sure about submitter's.

BladBoy [TotalFark] 2009-03-21 11:52:00 AM
I think it is unfair to put Brit-Brit on the list. Her "support the president" statement was obviously the work of her publicist in an attempt to have her avoid being "Dixie Chick'd". Calculated, not ideological.

The same with Dennis Miller, he did it because no one cares about another liberal stand up comic, but a far right comic, there's not a lot of competition.

That being said, I wasn't surprised by much on this list, I expect rich people to be republicans, people should vote in their best interests. And Johnny Ramone, I think he did it just to piss people off.

Too bad about Angie Harmon, tho.....

The one obvious one that's missing is Gene Simmons. He's a hard righty from way back.

the republican party fathers need people they can easily bulllshhitt so the republicans can regain government and cut taxes for the top 2% richest and big business. the other 98%, of course, had the wool pulled over their dumb cow eyes.

It's more likely than you think. Charles Barkley was once confronted as to why he supported (read : gave $$ to) republicans. "B...b...but they're the party of the rich". Barkleys reply was "Yeah, and I'm rich now".

/That's turrble, but true

pvd021 2009-03-21 01:33:46 PM
Very interesting. Reminds me of my cousins. Both fairly religious, well educated, and reside in Florida clearing in 400k combined in annual income. The reason they vote Republican? Purely for tax reasons. Nothing More. Even they admit that the Principles of the Republican Party are a joke. But F uncle sam if they're gonna take away their hard earned wages.

//They also owe hundreds of thousands in school debt.

FrayedEdgeOfSanity 2009-03-21 01:35:00 PM
You mean it's a good thing that most hollywood millionaires are brain dead leftist liberals?? Wow. Keep going with that. Let me know how it works out.

/Besides, everyone knows that Republican chics are way hotter then dems...

Um, Dennis Miller has a right-wing radio show. He's a pretty outspoken Republican. Since no one's found him funny since about 1985, I think he really is serious about the right-wing thing.

Wait, see, now I'm all confused. I keep hearing from Republicans that no one famous or in Hollywood is Republican. They're all liberals. Remember, that guy from that movie who passed away earlier this week said he was blackballed because he was a Republican.

IIRC, the story is that his mom asked him that!

Also, Dennis Miller is a 9/11 conservative, much like the late Ron Silver (and a lot of New York-born celebs).

My thing is, being a "registered Republican" doesn't necessarily make you conservative. I'm registered as one, but I voted for Bob Barr last time out, and split my ticket about 60/40 Republican-Democrat.

Most of those people have always struck me as either greedy, reckless, racist, or just plain stupid.

Thanks, but I'll take Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro, scarlett johansson, Jessica Alba, Natalie Portman, etc... Nobody on that list is even a zit on Tom Hank's butt for overall coolness and love of country.

I don't know that he's a Republican. He's certainly done his part to support the troops. Does the fact that he's doing that and not calling them a bunch of redneck retards who had nothing better to do automatically make him a Republican?

OXYGEN HAS A LIBERAL AGENDA!!! IT IS GIVEN AWAY TO POOR PEOPLE FOR FREE!!

Also, one is a required product (food), the other is (sometimes) entertainment. And since I can't grow my own food, but I can make my own entertainment, your statement makes no sense whatsoever.

James Earl Jones? :(

The others don't surprise me.

slobarnuts: I guess it's safe to say I haven't seen an image of Shannon Doherty in a long time.

Have to reveal a vice of my own with this one. Speculation on the gossip blogs is that she's the subject of a blind item released last year by well-regarded gossip columnist Lainey, about a Hollywood actress turning down work in order to keep the spotlight off her and her relationship with a prominent married man, who has a security team, and comes from a "legendary family" known for their strong support of family values.

What there isn't enough evidence for is who the married man in the picture is, since there are a number of Republicans from prominent political families known for their stand on family values. There was speculation it could even have been W. or John McCain, but the clues also fit Mitt Romney, any of the other Bushes, and at least a dozen other prominent Republicans (assuming Doherty isn't crossing party lines.)

The worst one and a shining example of the Republican party.

I wouldn't say Dennis Miller is right-wing. He's got some leftist viewpoints. He's kinda libertarian...at least that's the vibe I get from him.

Loving the liberal intolerance.
