Bush broke the record for vacations by just his 5th year in office.

Nearly a full year of his 8 years of presidency was spent in vacation.

This hobby is, objectively, more interesting that brush clearin', too.

Oh, and what's with the new quoting format?

Like the headline

But a good first round does not make the perfect bracket.

You could get every first round game right and probably lose if you don't get the national champion right.

Hey, I am on vacation and had lots of time make my picks and my bracket is totally screwed too.

This week in Wingnut outrage:

ZOMG! it's been 60 days, where's the rainbow-farting unicorns?

ZOMG! He can't go on Leno & talk to America! (Even though W was supposed to be the "president you want to have a beer with")

ZOMG! A bracket? That's not Presidential!

ZOMG! His bracket is totally teh suck! Presidential fail!

Eddie Adams from Torrance [TotalFark] 2009-03-21 12:12:13 PM
We would have been much better off if Bush had spent more time on vacation.

Wait, I mean... ZOMG!!11! B HUSSAYN IS SPENDING ALL HIS TIME BOWLING INSTEAD OF FIXING THE ECONOMY WHICH HE BROKE. HE'S JUST AN EMPTY SUIT BOWLING SHIRT.

True, but his bracket is currently sitting in the fourth percentile and has more red on it than a cutting board.

Gee say it is not so.

Question is... will the USA's economy survive the idiot now in office. One can now say he is making Bush look real good.

saintstryfe 2009-03-21 12:26:37 PM
eh, my first round wasn't so bad... my east was actually good, only two games missed there, 14 right. My west... less so. 10 games right, 6 wrong. Running 24/32. Not bad for someone who decided games on dice rolls.

Wisconsin went over Florida State, which was a blow, but my entire Final Four and Elite 8 are still good.

No, no... oh god no. No one cannot. Only a complete imbecile would say that.

star_topology 2009-03-21 12:33:40 PM
No, this clearly shows how inept Obama is. If he can't field a bracket that is better than 5% of America, how can we expect him to lead us out of this depression?

drbutchevil 2009-03-21 12:45:47 PM

Yeah well, I had OSU, Utah, Wake, WV, NDS, and BC. An entire teir of my bracket is busted.

Before you get all cocky, remember your coach is Herb Sendak. Go look at his record of being almost good enough. ASU was almost good enough to win the Pac10. They'll be almost good enough to lose to Syracuse tomorrow.

I would imagine Mt. Rushmore would not be suitable for Obama's supporters, they would probably want to carve Obama's likeness in the moon or something.

I submitted two entries at work...I copied Obama's on one of them hoping he was giving me a stimulus package...Nope. Doing pretty well with my own entry though.

I've lost 3 of my sweet 16 teams in the first round, and I'm 3rd from last in my pool.

...but I don't care because Michigan made it to the second round!

/and OSU didn't

meh... the greenlit NCAA threads this year have been really annoying. It seems like most of the TF folks in them are kids that care more to troll about account status than basketball. They should troll based on inter- or intra-conference rivalry like back in the day.

ASU got jobbed, kajoob. Sweep Arizona and get bracketed against Temple and Syracuse while U of A gets Utah then farking Cleveland (yeah, it was supposed to be WF but even that matchup looked better on paper than Orangemen and it proved out).
Jobbed, man. Devils are done... nice season though.

QU!RK1019 2009-03-21 02:29:34 PM
Damn. Barack's bracket looks a lot like mine. Especially that UCLA written in then scratched out and VCU put in. That stings. You can't overthink your bracket.

mephisto6 2009-03-21 02:36:42 PM
Also, I went to the farking article expecting to be all "meh, they're gonna bust his chops cuz he missed some picks and mine's probably not much better."
But 18 for 32? That's pretty damn bad right there.

/Missed 6 and lost one team from sweet 16 so far
/He'd Be dead last in our little 30-person office pool

If Obama's bracket was performing well, there would be an article on WorldNetDaily claiming that the tournament was fixed.

Article about Obama, lefties talk about Bush.

GimpyNip 2009-03-21 03:59:58 PM
I didn't watch a single college game this year or last year and did a terrible 18/32 as well. Still have 3 active in final 4, both in champ, and winner alive.
