Yes, it's shameful all the laws being passed to mandate listening to this. I don't understand how they can legislate suffering and such a vile offense on good taste. Why, oh why, can't we just be allowed to choose what we listen to on our own?

Patrick Stump.. and yes, I am going to say this.. has a good voice

Link

He does some Usher and Ne-Yo in this link.. and does it very well.
The problem i see, is the conflicting crowds of young white girls and all-aged urban (mostly black) males.. there's gonna be some girls pissing off daddy that night.

By the way, 50 is a damn smart business man, I want to believe he thought this all the way through.

Okay, there's your second rational post in this thread, we reached the quota. Commence music bashing and thinly-disguised racists comments...and go.

It'll be like when Public Enemy toured with Anthrax, only the opposite of totally awesome.

I'm impressed by the quoted statement in the article.

50 should look into the Aerosmith/Run DMC video before touting this as historic.

Didn't Run DMC and Aerosmith tour for a while?

And for people who say that rappers are talented because they can rhyme and do it really fast, watch this. And these guys even play instruments.

these twits make me sick... this is the problem with the media.. it has the memory of a fly.. no fellas sorry but You're not the first ones to do this and it's hardly historic.. the artists of todays mastubatory childish self importance is what makes them suck so bad.. they can't get their heads and the medias heads out of their asses long enough to write decent music so they try and rely on sesnational advertising... f them

Run DMC & Aerosmith = not impressed
Anthrax and P.E. = not impressed
Everybody on the Judgement Night soundtrack = not impressed
Bionic Jive = not impressed
Rage against the Machine = not impressed
A crossover is nothing new.
all They're doing is touring together..

And the touring thing isn't historic either. In the early 00's there was a tour with Eminem, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach and Xzibit then a couple years later there was the same tour with different rap & rock groups. I think it was the Family Values tour but I'm probably wrong.

Either way, they aren't original or making history. That tour I'm talking about was anything but historic and this seems to be made up with even less talent.

He says, "This will be a major moment in music history... Joining forces with Fall Out Boy, one of the most dynamic rock bands in the industry, will be an exciting and historic event for rock and hip-hop. This is a chance for me to bring my music not only to hip-hop fans, but to a broader music audience."

Joining forces? Did he really say that?! Like superheroes?

And uh, i have no doubt that FAll Out Boy's fanbase has heard of Fifty Cents. If he really wanted to reach out to a new audience, he should probably tour with YoYo Ma or something.

I'm sure many people are very excited about this joint marketing venture historic music event.

If by "make history" he means "make the world history by consuming it in a black hole of suck" then yeah, he probably will.

I imagine this is all going down in 2012?

no. Fall out boy is dynamic as watching grass grow. They suck. Seriously they do. I suffered through a half hour of them at the warped tour one year just to see Glassjaw play right after them. And if you want to hear music that sounds like cats being murdered in an alley way, then by all means pay your over priced ticketmaster money and see fall out boy.

ill be far away crying for what passes as "dynamic rock bands"

You farkers sure get your man panties in a wad easily. Since you obviously haven't been paying attention for the last 10-15 years or so, this is how things are marketed nowadays. Everything is about making you fear you'll miss out on an opportunity to be a part of history in the making: "Don't miss Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics in their attempt to win a record 18th NBA Championship. Don't miss Nine Inch Nails on what is likely their last tour. Don't miss Nine Inch Nails in their historical reunion with Jane's Addiction who will be reuniting for this historic tour. Don't miss your opportunity to be a part of history by voting for the first *black president.

Damn it. I wanted to go to that show, but I had to work. I saw glassjaw with Poison The Well at a club when Worship and Tribute was about to be released, but I had been drinking and such since the am and remember very little about the show other than getting this cute chick's number and getting sucker punched and almost jumped after the show for moshing too aggressively. Good times.

Yeah, Fiddy Cent is a real retard. Not only is he good as a target, but he can't remember anything beyond last week.

Anthrax and Public Enemy toured/performed/recorded together in 1991.

2 bands that are great alone, and together blew away many a mixed crowd.

I get the extreme pleasure agony of having to attend a FOB concert this summer with my girlfriend. They are her favorite band. I guess I can put in some earplugs and bang my head on something until I pass out.....but to be fair she attended Metallica Magnetic and Disturbed with me earlier.

I don't know about that, Metallica plays a pretty damn good show regardless of what you think of their music. I've brought friends that weren't into metal to metal shows before and they always have a good time. Being able to play well live is more than half the battle, and from what I hear of FOB...they lost the war.
