"His singer, Covan, was seriously injured."

Anyone think 'American Movie' when they heard this guy's name?

King Something: Is He dead or not? CNN Says yes. St. Pete Times looking for chads.

The (former) singer is not dead. The drummer did die though. (Yes, I know you think it's funny that members of "Decapitated" almost got decapitated)

Fun fact: The guy auctioning his guitar is a class act and cancer survivor himself. However, last time I checked HE'S STILL FARKING SMOKING. He might not be the brightest crayon in the box, apparently.

More metal this article could not be! Besides all the facts mentioned, notice the guy holding the guitar with the full beard? He is the founder of Deicide. He has an upside down cross burned into his forehead! He is also flipping us off which in itself is so metal.

By the way, loved "American Movie" and can't wait to see "Anvil".

I hung out with Glen, Jack Owen, Steve and Dave Suzuki backstage once. They were all cool, we smoked some weed, drank lots of Jaegermeister and I stole their snacks. My then girlfriend stole Steve's custom Deicide lighter. They were all nice to us, except I knew Glen was just being nice because he wanted to bang my then gf.

We all got farked up either on Jaeger or weed (Except for Suzuki) and THEN they went out to play. All in all a very memorable night.

OBITUARY guitarist Trevor Peres has told U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine that a Floridian death metal package tour is currently being planned for the U.S. later in the year before possibly going global.

"We've been talking about putting a death metal package together with OBITUARY, MORBID ANGEL, DEICIDE and SIX FEET UNDER," Peres revealed.

"Nothing's happened yet," he continued. "But we've been talking about trying to do that. It would be a States thing at first but we could go globally, do a Florida death metal tour in Asia, Europe...anywhere that's interested."

Dave is a phenomenal musician. He plays all those crazy blast and double bass beats, and rips the neo-classical solos on Vital Remains last couple albums.

Hmmm, yeah, it seems that the CC guys and Barnes are on pretty good terms. Chris was laughing it up with Barrett on the last CC Dvd. Theoretically, the performance isn't impossible. On the other hand, Chris seems determined to distance himself as "the guy that sang Hammersmashed Face"

I would just like to take a second and say that Vital Remains can go fark themselves.

they were supposed to play here on Wednesday and bailed at the last second. and by last second I mean, right before they were supposed to set up on stage after a couple of other bands had already played. additionally they were at the venue for hours before hand, enjoyed free food and beer and were paid $200 before hand as part of their guarantee (they would have gotten more after their set, 100% of door sales actually because attendance was lower than expected then before when it was agreed they would get 60%). so what was their excuse? they weren't pleased with the turn out. never mind that they never bothered to set up a merch table or anything, they took the money and ran. who knows how long they had planned this, but fark them, they will not be booked again ever in Tallahassee and i've already let several other promoters around the region know about this situation.

but anyways, I digress. Obituary farking owns and although I never got into Decapitated it's cool what Ralph is doing.

Cause the deathmetal community is one of the most tight knit in music. Guys can leave one band and be in another by that evening and there's no hard feelings (usually).

Now some of the black metal guys in the EU live the same way some of their music describes. I cant remember and cant search for who it is cause im at work, but this dude is the singer for a major BM band and his ass does live in a dark castle in the deep forest.

I'm thinking Gaahl of Gorgoroth. But "dark castle in the deep forest" makes me think you might be referring to Satyricon.

If you mean to get Caninus for the Florida Death Metal tour, it wouldn't quite work as Most Precious Blood is from New York City, but it would definitely add talent to the line up.
