Man, I didn't Shane EVER had teeth. I just figured his folks alternated between Jameson's and Black n' Tan in his bottle from day one, and they just never came in.

That guy's mouth is like an open grave. Probably smells worse, though.

Definitely wouldn't want to punch Shane in the mouth. The infection you would get will kill you in less than an hour.

Just saw The Pogues the other night with my cousin. I have never heard of them before and it was a pretty good time. Here is something for you Fark. Cheers

Whole lotta nasty looking drunks on that stage.

And Shane has teeth but just barely.

Damn I knew I was going to lose it eventually. It was a great show and I came home and got a few albums. Funny my cousin made me turn in my Irish Card for never hearing them.

I am running out of clubs. It's cold out here all alone.

Dude, awesome video. I'm unlucky and keep missing them each time they come to Buffalo. Hoping to catch a show this year.

You need to start with the first three albums. They have all been recently re-released and they all contain several bouns tracks.

Now, do you know who stood in for Shane in the early 90s and even played guitar for The Pogues for a while prior to that?

Yea I do. I found a show Joe did with them but havent got a chance to listen to it yet. I have listened to Red Roses for Me and loved it. Im excited to sit down with a drink and listen to the other albums I have.

Did they also do tracks for the Straight To Hell soundtrack together?

I would think so, they were all in that movie.

Yea I havent seen it. I'd like to check out the soundtrack.

It is hard for me to imagine that someone could sing with such poor oral hygiene. It is believable.

I'm hoping you have seen this (new window).

Also, Shane's mouth problems are not due to poor oral hygeine. From Wikipedia:

"MacGowan has, throughout life, suffered from dental problems, caused by an imbalance of chemicals in his mouth. An article in The Mail writes: "Now he is 50, the singer said he at last planned to address the ever-present problem of his trademark teeth - or lack of them. With a mouthful of bloody stumps and only the odd tooth here and there, MacGowan said 2008 would be the year he sorted his mouth out. 'I'm going to get my teeth done,' he said. 'Emergency dentures to stop my face falling apart. I might get some dentures in and leave it at that, or I might get them done gradually'."[9] The singer once protested when the American record company of the Pogues released a record with a cover bearing a picture of MacGowan with teeth airbrushed in, allegedly so as not to deter American buyers."

Interesting. That must be incredibly painful. Glad he is taking step to fix the problem.

Then you only sort of saw the Pogues, because SHane isn't part of the line-up any more and Kristy McColl is dead. Do yourself a favor, Hunt down Rum, Sodomy and the Lash and If I should fall from grace with God if you want to hear their best work.

Shane is currently touring with the Pogues.

I saw the Pogues long ago at the Crisler Arena. Shane came onstage drinking from a fifth of jd, slurred through the first number then went back stage and passed out. Spider expressed his anger, said he didn't know the words and then they kicked out a pretty good show

/loves the Pogues

Fav. Rebel song:

Go on home British Soldiers:
(Chorus)

Go on home British soldiers go on home,
Have you got no farking homes of your own?
For eight hundred years we've fought you without fear
And we will fight you for eight hundred more.
If you stay British soldiers, if you stay
You'll never ever beat the IRA

The fourteen men in Derry are the last that you will bury
So take a tip and leave us while you may.
Go on home British soldiers go on home,
Have you got no farking homes of your own?

For eight hundred years we've fought you without fear
And we will fight you for eight hundred more.
No! We're not British, we're not Saxon, we're not English
We're Irish! and proud we are to be!

So fark your Union Jack we want our country back
We want to see old Ireland free once more.
Go on home British soldiers go on home,
Have you got no farking homes of your own?
For eight hundred years we've fought you without fear
And we will fight you for eight hundred more.

Go on home British soldiers go on home,
Have you got no farking homes of your own?
For eight hundred years we've fought you without fear
And we will fight you for eight hundred more.

Well, we're fighting British soldiers for the cause
We'll never bow to soldiers because
Throughout our history we were born to be free
So get out British bastards leave us be.

Go on home British soldiers go on home,
Have you got no fark'in homes of your own?
For eight hundred years we've fought you without fear
And we will fight you for eight hundred more.

Go on home British soldiers go on home,
Have you got no farking homes of your own?
For eight hundred years we've fought you without fear
And we will fight you for eight hundred more.

Both of those are ripped onto the hard drive in my car. I agree, the Pogues at their finest.
