Bob Dylan, The Dead top Rothbury Festival lineup. Your dad wants tickets

I know Bob looks pretty frail these days, but that is no reason to give him that title.

What makes me want to go:

String Cheese Incident - I thought they broke up. Amazing band, go see them if you can.

Girl Talk - sick mash-up DJ, every show is a huge party.

Zappa plays Zappa - You can't see Frank, but Dweezil is one heck of a performer and the band is top-notch.

Damien Jr. Gong Marley - Bob's youngest son is a reggae/hip-hop artist deeply rooted in the true Rasta tradition. He's more genuine than Beenie Man, but more hard-core than his older brothers. Puts on a fun, dancable, smoke-filled show

A full Rothbury weekend pass weighs in at $249.50, but don't worry, you can put these things on layaway now.

Why are we bailing out Detriot? Those people in Michigan evidently have plenty of money.

I used to be a hugh Dylan fan, but now I really think he should just be put down.

I saw Bob open for the Dead in 2003. Joan Osborne was on the tour too. Here's a pic I took. That's Bob in the cowboy hat.

His lesser known brother. His biggest achievment was playing acoustic guitar at the Newport FolK Festival.

There is nothing obscure on Fark.

It cost $100 more this year to go. I got the early bird ticket expecting the lineup to be phenominal. Not even close. There isn't much diversity in the lineup as opposed to last year. If you like jam bands then this a great lineup, but for everybody else not so much. I don't see how they can justify costing the same as Bonnaroo and Coachella and having half the talent. As much fun as I had last year this lineup is almost to weak to think about going.

i LOVE old school Dylan and The Grateful Dead, but a 70year old Dylan and Jerry-less Dead seem more torturous than enjoyable.

I'd rather catch Neil Young, sometime soon, over this show.

I assume subby means that people in my general age range (mid 50s) would love to see that show and those particular artists. Subby fails with his lame stereotypical generalization of my taste.

Saw them last year here in Burlington. They were awesome.

I saw the Grateful Dead just prior to Jerry kicking the bucket. I didn't know they kept going after that.

/Not a hippie.
//My girlfriend was, though.
///I was the only one not stoned at the show.
