heh republicans haven't been able to sleep at night lately, nothing sticks to the negro, is liked by the majority of the people and he is implementing every single democratic agenda he campaigned on. They were betting on a financial collapse (even though history dictates the market will eventually go up)and in the past week or so, the market is showing a pulse.

Meanwhile they are stuck with Steele, Palin, and Jindall...

/This isn't good news for a national regional party.

Many Washington Post editorials are written by Fred Hiatt, who has a right wing slant that often borders on the absurd. The Post itself is liberal only by the standards of the Washington Times, the Moonie newspaper.

And it will remain to be seen how the rest of his programs go.

No kidding. Story and venting time! I have a neighbor who is the modern day boy who cried wolf. Every time he cooks something it's the greatest meal he's ever made in his life. Every time something bad happens, it's the worst week he's ever had in his whole life. Everytime he picks up his guitar it's the best he's ever played it was just so amazing. Whenever he makes my piano scream out in pain It's the most spectacular song he's ever made, man did you hear it wasn't it awesome?
Everyweekend he tells me how proud he is of having not had anything to drink in so long; simultaneously he'll be bragging that he just shotgunned 6 beers and he's sooooooooo farked up. He uses absolutes so often nothing he says has any meaning. grrrrrr.......

Just how liberal is the mainstream media?

Well, if you do a highly contentious and hostile interview with a Republican political candidate that ends up assisting in that persons defeat at the polls you'll get an award from your colleagues.

Such was obviously the case when CBS "Evening News" anchor Katie Couric was given a "Special Achievement" award earlier this week for her highly-publicized September interviews with vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

When did we make "earmarks" synonymous with "pork"? Earmarks just specify where specific money should go.

For example, "The Department of Defense gets $600 billion, of which $1 billion should be used for bullets" is an "earmark." Seems prudent, even.

There's nothing inherently wrong with a 7000 page budget having 9000 earmarks. Of course, that won't stop Hate Radio from pretending that those are 9000 earmarks giving money to save endangered leeches or something.

Not in about ten years. The Post WAS a left-of-center Paper with a fairly leftist editorial page for many years (though remember they are the ones who made George Will famous). Unfortunately when legendary editor Meg Greenfield and publisher Katherine Graham died Graham's daughter and famously pro-Israel neo-con Lally Weymouth started having an outsized influence over the post (and Newsweek's) editorial policies and the paper has become somewhere just to the left of the New York Post in recent years

County Fair Blog? Puhhhhlease

O has had failures so far, in the areas of earmarks, pork, failed appointments, appointing lobbyists he said he would not. Has failed to do anything but put the country in huge debt that generations to come will have to pay for. Possibly jeopardizing the already fragile SS system.

The debt, throwing money shotgun effect, was a fail.

The market will recover. Business will pick up....but out of 2 trillion BORROWED dollars of knee jerk un-targeted flinging....a lot is going to be wasted. Frittered away...that's the fail part.

And he has the media 99% looking out for his back. So I blow my nose in the general direction of the subtard.

Heh.

Maybe not as Fantastical as all THAT.
Hannetty's radio show has been replaying audio of Obama saying (pre-election) he would eliminate all earmarks followed immediately by audio of him saying (post-election) he would only eliminate the "bad" earmarks and keep the "good" ones.

He's doing it to showcase a broken campaign promise, but in this instance it serves to showcase that Mediamatters isn't as much about "journalism" as they try to pretend they are.

//Media Matters has it's head so far up Obama's hindquarters it's like Obama has two heads.

Hannity aired a
number of clips from the 2008 presidential campaign in order to claim
that Obama was breaking his promise of "no earmarks," when, in fact,
in three of the clips, Obama was referring to reforming the earmark
process, and in a fourth, he was asserting that an opponent was being
hypocritical for taking earmarks and then advocating against them. In
the fifth clip, which was actually taken from a January 6 media
availability -- not during the presidential campaign as Hannity
suggested -- Obama stated: "We are gonna ban all earmarks -- the
process by which individual members insert pet projects without
review." However, Obama was referring to his desire to "ban all
earmarks" from his "recovery and reinvestment plan," which he
specifically distinguished from "the overall budget process."
