It's funny how you seem to have missed, over and over, The assertion that we as a people have been sorely lacking in accountability .. And the other assertion that predatory and irresponsible business practices are also squarely responsible for the shiat we're in right now.

so - let me guess, based on previous GOP revisionism... on jan 19, 2009, the dow was at 14,000. america was at peace and respected in the world. the health care system was peachy - everyone was covered... and then obama took power and it all went to shiat. is that about right, thugs?

You probably think you were being extreme and thus ridiculous. In the "conservative" mindset you actually nailed reality dead on. Think about that for a minute. You literally CAN'T be absurd enough anymore even for sarcasm.

I would say..."Thanks Captain Obvious", but I have more respect for Cheney than just about anyone. The negative press and constant hammering by Marxist thug politicians(any and all dems) removed one of the all time greats from American politics. Cheney would've made a GREAT POTUS. Health issues being a continuing issue of course.

I think these goons watched 911 unfold and took notes! They would see an attack as a opportunity to declare marshall law and take complete control!

Why is CNN interviewing a war criminal and not asking him about his crimes?

And I see that they're still delusional about how they "inherited" a financial problem. I'm definitely not better off than I was 8.5 years ago.

Mordant: lots of things are still Clinton's fault, but nothing... NOTHING is Bush's fault.

Duh.

Everything from Jan 2001 to Sept 11th 2001 was Clinton's fault.

Everything from March of 2002 until Sept of 2008 was the fault of the Democrats in congress.

Everything from Sept 2008 onwards has been Obama's fault.

There's really on a few months just after 9/11 -- Afghanistan had been invaded and the calls for war on Iraq hadn't yet started in earnest -- when Bush was in charge and responsible for anything.

/the buck stops....nowhere in the failed Bush administration

You may slink away now.

I'm wondering what happens when the markets (inevitably) stabilize sometime within the next several years and the economy starts to come back out of the crapper.

What will the right-wingers say then?

Will Obama still be responsible or will it be something like:

"We survived a depression because of the stimulus BUSH passed before he left office"

Or they'll say that the recovery would have happened sooner if the Democrats had listened to them and only cut taxes.

This interview is like hearing your ex on the answering machine months later...

With Cheney, we made some decisions, and maybe some good came of them. Still, ultimately, it was a mistake, and it's time to cut him dead and move on.

If things get better it would have gotten better faster without Obama's interference. If things get worse it's because of Obama's interference.

Oh it's definitely this one, just like with the Great Depression. Two economists write a paper in opposition to the common perspective and all of a sudden these two are the greatest experts on the planet and it's absolute truth that FDR prolonged the Depression.

OK, I got one. Bush was a reasonably dedicated jogger. He thinks physical fitness is important. He even mentioned it a few times. He didn't really transfer his personal philosophy into something helpful for Americans, but staying fit is still a good practice and it's something he didn't screw up.

Oh, and I think Bueller is home sick today.
