I once tried to spend a $2 bill at Taco Bell. I was told that they wouldn't accept it because it was fake, then they called security. The security guard took me into a room in the back where he and the manager took turns beating me within an inch of my life and pouring hot sauce in my eyes. It wasn't until the cops showed up and told them there really was such a thing as a $2 bill that they let me go.

/got a free taco out of the deal

15 year old with $500 + of cash on hand?

Spent it on Craigslist whores and weed.

Well, that's what I'd do anyhow.

Minus the weed.

What do you mean It didn't really happen? I was there ! I had just finished watching the space shuttle Challenger explode on live television and in a sorrow filled depression, that only low grade meat could console, I grabbed my last two dollar bill and headed to taco bell.

GuidoDelConfuso: Funny, I was going to post that story, only from a different point of view. I was the manager on duty that day. Sorry, man.

carnies think $2 bills are unlucky , go get a bunch before you go to a carnival. they rip the corners off to make them lucky again.

/who even wants to go to taco bell now that the Volcano Taco is gone.

Came for the "Better Off Dead" reference and left satisfied.

I used a $2 bill as a tip tonight to the cook at my favorite restaurant.

He was quite pleased!

Remember, keep the cooks happy - they're the ones feeding you!

Kevin72 2009-03-15 09:39:05 AM
It was a collection including silver certificates, meaning of older bills worth more than two dollars each. /I have two from the 1950s, one with blue text, one with red.

Has Fnorgby even been around since that debacle? I'm pretty much just a lurker, but I can't remember seeing him in any threads after that went down.

They took fingerprints in a 15 year old boy's room? I bet they found more semen and porno than they found fingerprints. I was 15 once.

Krayon 2009-03-15 11:22:04 AM
Excellent headline.

My grandma used to send me $2 bills all the time in the mail. And the last time I got either a $2 bill or a JFK half dollar as change, it was at Taco Bell.

/still got the half dollar

I can understand having one or two $2 bills and the silver certificates, but over $500 worth?

Just take two $1 bills down to any bank and they will give you a $2 bill. That's what I do, I keep my $2 bill collection at the bank. It's worth like 80 bajillion I think, I haven't counted it in a while.

PresentCompanyExcluded 2009-03-15 01:01:09 PM
I bet it was a friend of his. That's what happened to me once. Only I went through it on the other side. I stole a bunch of stuff from a buddy.

But it's the same thing.

Epiphany 2009-03-15 01:02:07 PM
It was obvious that this boys father or mother stole his money, and that's the saddest part of the story. Kid should have known better though, it had already happened to him once. He's 15? Maybe spend a hundred dollars on a safe or whatnot, although I bet that wouldn'tve stopped whichever parent took that shiat.

Quite right. I used to work a cash register for a living, and one (rather large) guy would always come in and pay for his cigs and energy drinks with $2 bills. I asked him where he got them. Turns out he's a bouncer at a strip club, and the guys there think $2 is a good balance between $1 and $5.

/Rang up some of the girls, too.
//Probably wouldn't pay $2.

Beauf 2009-03-15 01:11:53 PM
Screw Taco Bell, smart people spend $2 bills in strip clubs. In the dark they think they are $20s.

/always wondered how they would handle inflation

After the last $2 bill thread, I got $100 in them from my girlfriend's cousin.

I spent the first $50 and got weird looks about half the time, I still have the second half handy...

/I love weird/uncommon currency
